Hi guys, another quick update! I've finished another map, the Hotel Room AND a key feature from now on.
The Chat Message System, A system where the Characters can send and view chat messages via a messaging app that's done purely by eventing (no scripts required.)
Using this feature, I will implement scenarios where this will make for some very interesting "clandestine" events in the future, hehehe.
Don't mind the audio stuttering and the visual glitches, the former is hardware related and the latter is to be fixed.

Just a quick update, I just finished another map, it's the riverbank, I won't tell what it's for since it might spoil the story hehe.
I really taken a liking to Yanflys grid free doodads plugin, I could make my maps stand out so much with it. Not to brag, but they look absolutely stunning haha. Especially the landscaping.
I really wanted my maps to stand out, so I diligently studied a lot about pseudo parallaxing them.
I am also doing additional school events, If all goes well, I might be able to release the next version by next week.

Hi guys, how are you? I've been doing some Landscaping and Lighting Effects, and it turned out really well if I may say so. I've been wanting to try out parallax mapping (mapping RPG maker without being confined to it's default 48X48 grid system) at some point but really didn't since I've heard it can make your game file size drastically increase.
Luckily, I've found out about Yanfly's Grid Free Doodads Plugin. And to my surprise, It's a game changer(literally). It allows me to access my own custom assembled tile library and place it in any map (as opposed to the traditional B-E sheet in the editor.)
It's sort of a Pseudo Parallax mapping but it does the trick and it's quite efficient at doing so. In fact I'm really loving it, see for yourself, the landscape at the video tells the story.
Now tonight, I'll be filling those maps with some events, best of luck.
We're getting nearer to the next version release!

Done with most of the NPC sprites I'll need for the next version release V0.2. Phew, this took a lot more effort than I thought it would. I didn't want my supporters to see the same generic sprites scattered here and there on every map, so I opted to create more unique ones. Sadly the progress for the story has been paused since I shifted my attention to sprite making. But now that's out of the way, I can now go back (again) to eventing the story for the camping arc.

I made new sprites for NPCs to liven up the maps, here they are being showcased in a testrun on the downtown area 2 map.

Today I was wondering on how can I improve the existing date and time system for the game.
I searched google for available RPG maker MV plugins to do so, I found several that might work, but I decided to make one myself because I only needed a simple date and time system.
So after a few hours of experimentation, trial and errors. I managed to make one myself that only needed eventing to function, and here it is!
This will be useful in adding realism to the game, since the game has a modern setting to it.
I know it might not be much since I am still a beginner in RPG Maker engine but this is all part of the learning process in order to make a more polished final output.

Since the last post, I've been working on eventing. (Yes, I'm finally back at eventing.)
Here's a screenshot on the event page of the Campsite, which I promised last update will get more expansion in terms of event.
It is about 50% done for the campsite.

Rudy Omega has just finished making this lovely casual sprite of our heroine. It turned out really well good job XD.
Right now he is making her school uniform next, I'm personally looking forward to it =)
As for my part, I vow to make her story a really interesting one so please look forward to it.

Redesigned the Mountain Trail map, the old one was kind of blocky, so opted to improve it. Also fixed tile passage settings for most of the previously shown new maps. (no more walk through walls/objects.)

Revamped the School courtyard map...again. Well actually I just modified the walls and added different kind of trees that aren't the RTP version to make things more refreshing.

Hi guys, cedr777 here once again! and so while I was working on sprites, I've decided to revamp the camp site map while I'm at it, what has changed so far is that I've added more details into it and removed excessive vegetation. It's still rough around the edges, but that'll be fixed in time. I am also thinking of adding more events to the camp site arc, what do you guys think?

Aside from the script and events, it's also my task to create more maps that is required for the next release, so here they are. Some maps have been revamped. (Downtown and School)
Refer to screenshots.
There are still a few more maps to make before I go back to scripting.
To name a few: Suburbs, Market, Metropolitan district, Residential Interiors.
And before anyone asks, I am focusing on Satoshi's story (Need to build up the Vanilla story first.)
Hi, cedr777 here with an update, so far I've finished the script for the first scene for the creepy old man, about a half of the script for Akeno's backstory, half for the Running girl events, and some minor changes to the old content.
With all those planned contents for the next release it's gonna take me a few more weeks to have a proper release with just one guy (me) doing all the task. sorry for the slow pace, btw. i'm not making any promises but i will try my best to have the next update have significant amount of content than the last (storywise)

Akeno chain events. Tachibana family backstory
Running girl event. A mini scenario where Takeshi hits on a girl at school who is a member of the girl’s track and field club.
Beach Nerorare/Netori events. Takeshi decides to spend some time at the beach, and also to hit on women while he’s there, he will encounter A family of four. A voluptuous milf with her husband and her two daughters. They are on vacation at the beach, but unbeknownst to them Takeshi has set his eyes on them. This scenario will have the Husbands perspective and Takeshi’s perspective.
Satoshi's story. Satoshi is Takeshi’s close friend, they’ve been pals for a long time. Takeshi used to come over at Satoshi’s house since they were young to play video games. Satoshi is infatuated with his classmate Tsugumi, who was recently a plain girl who miraculously became prettier over the past summer.
This scenario will be viewed from Satoshi’s perspective but will also be viewed from Tsugumi from time to time. Takeshi will make a special participation in this scenario.
Outline: A look back on what happened during the mountain camping trip, there is a scene where Satoshi confesses to Tsugumi.
Haruna's story (another protagonist). Haruna is a beautiful and kind and innocent school girl who attends a different school. she is somewhat naive and unaware of the lustful intentions of the men around her. Throughout the game she will experience an ordinary school life but will be coaxed by several males who obviously have ulterior motives towards her. What will happen with her everyday life? (this is the corruption content of this game)
This is all I've planned for in the upcoming release, it's focused on the story.
2018-09-01 23:53:15 +0000 UTC View PostAlright, for the past two weeks I've collected feedbacks and fixed the bugs that came with the release of v0.15b, it took 5 patches to fix the major ones but I managed to pull through.
Moving on, according to the poll results most of you didn't like the battle system, In particular the melee battles. with 20 votes, the results was in favor of "Focus on the story, and make the Battle System a mini game instead." So that is what I've been doing this past two weeks, focusing on the story and have planned to set aside the Battle system to be a mini game later on.
That said, the next release will be much more focused on the story. As for the progress, I'm currently inputting the 4 page script that I've finished two weeks ago to the software. I'd say I'm about 1/3 done. I'll write another post on what the next release is going to contain. (tentatively)
2018-09-01 23:39:09 +0000 UTC View PostAlright I've decided, after getting a lot of negative feedback about the ABS Battle System despite adjusting it in the previous v0.15.5b patch to make it easier.
I know that the battle mechanics are new to most people, I just wanted to introduce a battle system that's not typical of the RPG maker games. But I'd hate to force it upon them if they think that it's a turn off or if they find that it's too hard especially for the casual players.
So, I've decided to create this public poll for people to vote on the future of the game mechanics.
