A recent patch caused the cheat console to block all game input when it is open. This is just a small mod to undo that until the next patch. SimGuruNick has already stated it wasn't intentional.
Note: If you downloaded the pre-release version, please re-download. This version includes a fix for the story-mode CAS being blank.
Instructions:
Download the .package file to anywhere in your Mods folder.
Some of you might have noticed the cheat console blocks game input in the newest patch. This reverts that because, well, it's annoying. 🤷♂️

This update fixes a glitch with the travel and photography menus, and adds a classic version of the Moschino stuff pack icon.
BLACK SCREEN FIX:
If your menu has a black screen where the animatic should be, open your options.ini file and set the "animaticpack" value to 1000.

TOOL is still in development, decided to rework some of the interface, and added new visuals for things like rotation.
I'm also splitting out the Move functionality to separate "Move" and "Elevate" options, so it's a bit less confusing to move an object.

Better Exceptions v1.05 is now ready and live :) Starting shortly after this post, those of you with Better Exceptions already installed will receive an auto-update prompt in game the next time you launch.

Fairly small update to BE to help remove false positives toward WW scripts, and closed a loophole where some invalid tuning mods might be missed. This should improve BE's accuracy even further.
Also made sure that the tuning scanner only activates if invalid tuning was found, which will cut down on reporting times for those with older hard drives.

This is mainly for builders currently as it comes with some quirks, such as not being able to route using ocean ladders (working on it) and sims walking under water on the lot. Swim interactions still work fine outside of the lot boundaries. Pool floats should be placed from sims inventory to avoid frustration trying to get it on the water level.

Exciting new update to share with everyone, a few of you may have already received a version of this but you'll still receive an update notice as I've made a few changes.
If you already have BE installed, you'll receive an update automatically when you start your game. You'll just need to restart the game for changes to take effect. Automatic updates will become available a few minutes after this post goes live. Otherwise you can grab it manually at the bottom of this post.
I'll begin rolling out an update for Better Exceptions to a small group momentarily. If you'd prefer to wait for the official release, you can click "Remind me later" for now. I will make a separate post with more details when the update is fully public.

Quick bugfix for the vampire issues, looks like someone accidentally removed some code from the vampire tuning.

So if we're being honest, patreon isn't that great for maintaining a collection of downloads. It's pretty hard to find older posts. For that reason, I've created a dedicated website for cheats and mods. I'm still adding some of the more obscure cheats currently but once I'm caught up, I've designed the site in a way that will let me add every new cheat almost immediately - and I mean every cheat.

So I've added a lot of new info to the report and in doing so, the simple text reports were getting more and more difficult to read. So I've swapped them to an HTML report, which lets me give you a cleaner interface and enables more advanced features like linking you to help resources.
The next version of BE will be able to tell you directly which tuning mods have issues, if any, so you'll know exactly where to start when trying to fix your LastException.

Is this a pre-release? No. I don't consider this a finished mod. I have more items planned but Better Exceptions turned into a bigger project than I had imagined, so I figured I'd let patrons get their hands on what I had in the meantime. Apparently the Destroy Object command had gone missing, meaning a lot of bugs out there were suddenly more difficult or impossible to resolve.
