Finishing up on a few more edits for my horror shoot. Film was sent out last week to be developed, so hoping to have them back to scan in by the end of this week.

Going to try and fit in an emotive beauty shoot with the fall colors outside before the end of October. Going to cast this week. I really want to shoot a half nude or nude set outside, so hopefully I can get it in before it’s too cold.

Chelsey came out Wednesday to shoot. Shot some film, and the film came loose in the camera. So I had to wait until it was dark to take it out of the camera and roll it up.

My first mistake was not waiting until my kids went to sleep 🙃 my second mistake was thinking my 5 year old daughter would listen when I said don’t open the door and turn on the light. 😩😁

Worked on another 35mm Film set with Ashley, but also took some digital portraits as well with a borrowed camera. The film shots wont be ready for another 2 weeks, so I am posting the digital sets this week.

An older set I found while digging through some archives. This was from a group shoot where we rented out a dome style apartment type housing in Detroit. really cool place with tons of natural light.

Here are the film scans of my first film shoot with Cassie.  I had a few lighting issues, but overall I am happy with the way they turned out. The underexposed shots have an artistic feel to them. Sometimes a mistake turns out pretty cool when messing with film.

Looking forward to the next film shoot.

I will have Cassies set up by tonight. Film is definitely different than digital. Lots of things to learn and experiment with. Sometimes you get happy mistakes that look kinda cool.

So, next 2 projects: September 8th I’m shooting Portra 800 color film, fine art nude on a farm in the fields and in a pond. Going to see what we can get. Working with a new model, so looking forward to shooting next week.
