I was shipwrecked. I couldn't believe it, but at least I’d found this tiny string of islands, though I had no idea how. They didn't appear on any map. I should still be days from land. Exploring the main island at first gave me some relief. There was a spring, fruit trees, a surprising amount of wildlife. It was perfect, absolutely perfect. So why the feeling of unease? Why not be happy that I had apparently stumbled upon an ideal spot to wait out eventual rescue?

A few days ago, I got lost in the woods. I found water easily enough, but no food, not until… I know I shouldn't have done it, but I was so hungry. I found a patch of these weird pink strawberries, and they smelled so good I couldn't help myself. I ate them, all of them. Afterward, I passed out, and when I woke up, I looked like this!
