Colour Study

This was a little study I did to practice some new line art brushes and practice being a little more "painterly" with my colouring.

I want to get a more textured natural look going with the colours. Still have a lot of work to do in that space.

This was a bit random, just started drawing, this came out.

I don't know what it is about the name but I really like it haha.

You can spend all day going to and fro with names, so generally whatever feels right when I hear it is what I go for.

Still trying to think of a name. Wanted to do a simple pinup style pose. Starting to feel like I've gotten back into the groove again with my drawings.

Not Again!

First attempt at some Dean Yeagle style single panels.

It's a lot more challenging trying to capture a moment in time like this vs just a typical 'sexy' pose style piece. I'll keep refining this style and see where we can take it.

My Return

Firstly, my apologies for taking so long. Secondly, thank you for everyone who’s stuck around while I get some real-world stuff sorted.

It wasn’t anything bad, it was all good in fact, it just took a lot of my free time I typically devote to art.

It also gave me a lot of time to think about the direction I want to take things.

Hiatus

I always hate doing this but the reality is that this isn't my full time job. It will be one day, but for now I have a lot of other things vying for my time. These other things have increased recently and I just can't put the time into drawing that I would like.

This makes it hard when I'm trying to create monthly content for Patreon and work on longer term projects.

So, for now I'm going to put Patreon on hold. I'll still post some stuff here but I won't be charging anyone for th...

Lineart

I've always wanted to do more with black and white. Mostly just so I can do less with colour. Here are my first couple trials at it.

Also Kassandra. I'm a little surprised she actually won. I'm rather happy she did, but I didn't realize she would be so popular.

Practice Piece

Trialling a few different things here. I added the value to it monotone and then added the colour. There are a couple of advantages to this method. Its easier to set the light source and your working on the entire piece rather then individual elements. The issue is the final colours can come across a bit flat.

Ok, I'm off shift again, so I'll be able to up the output again. I'm also almost through all of my Commissions.

You guys picked the single hardest pose for Keyleth. I just can't seem to get it to work in the actual lineart. Would something like this be a suitable replacement?

I've been a bit busy with work and getting the last round of commissions finished off in the last week so I haven't had a tonne of time to get anything out. Have no fear there will be plenty of content this month, it'll just mostly come next week.
