My Return

Firstly, my apologies for taking so long. Secondly, thank you for everyone who’s stuck around while I get some real-world stuff sorted.

It wasn’t anything bad, it was all good in fact, it just took a lot of my free time I typically devote to art.

It also gave me a lot of time to think about the direction I want to take things.

For the last 4 years my “goal” has always been to eventually do my own comic. I’m coming to realize though; comics may not be my thing. At least not comic pages. I’ve tried several times to start comics only to lose interest in the very long process that is making a page and losing faith in whatever story I’ve crafted.

Then I started thinking “Well if it’s not comics, what?”

And this might come as a great surprise for many(sarcasm), but I think my thing is Pinup art. I’ll let that sink in…

Its not the most explosive of revelations for anyone whose seen my catalogue of work, but it is the first time I’ve put the thought of comics aside and thought entirely “Well if I want to draw sexy pinup, what does that look like?”

Pinup is a very broad category, and it gets thrown around a lot, and its probably not exactly what I have in mind, but it is an easy word to say and a good descriptor.

It gets people into the ballpark of understanding what I’m doing….

So then, what am I doing?

Whenever I’m trying to make a decision like this, I look for inspiration. Other artists doing similar work to the work I want to do. Not stylistically, but content wise.

The first name that came to mind was Dean Yeagle.

I really like his little one panel comics. I also like the way he draws Mandy and uses her in all these different situations which are often comical, but tasteful and still targeted at adults.

A few other names I found a long the way where Chabe Escalante, Jeremie Fleury, and Serge Birault.

I feel like I’m starting to get off track…

Anyway, bringing things back on course. I’m back!

It’ll likely be less fanart, more of my own stuff, trying to be a little more tasteful and comical, but still sexy… Any Lewd stuff will be posted uncensored here.

I’ve taken payments off for this month, so you’ll be able to see what I’m doing trying to do without having to put up any more money.

We’ll see how we go.
