Subscription Billing

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to mention a quick change I've made to the Patreon page. As of today, we have switched over to Subscription Billing. What that means is that instead of being charged at the 1st of the month, you will be charged on the same date you signed up monthly.

This should help avoid anyone who subscribes at the end of the month dealing with being double charged.

There will be no changes to current patrons if you're currently being charged on the 1st of the month that will remain.

Sevros Artwork Update and Beta News #3

Hello Researchers!

Once again I fully apologize that the beta is taking as long as it has been however good news! I have a new writer that we just finished onboarding to the studio today to be working alongside WhiteFeather to take some stress and load off of him so that we can also finish all of the writing content required and needed for the beta!

Monster XXXperiment Patreon Beta Update

Hello Researchers!

Sorry for the lack of updates this month, we're still hard at work on the Beta version of the game and with this post I can inform you all that Male Flare's content is 80% done and we are now working on Female Flare's content.

We may be looking for a second writer soon to help with the writing load it has been a lot for Feather and its just so much to write for 1 person.

Beta News!

I'm sorry, everyone. we tried our best, but unfortunately, we aren't able to get the update out before the new year.

We came incredibly close, but the beta isn't in a state that I feel comfortable and ready to release.

The team has been crunching all month to try to make it happen, but to be honest, we have been experiencing burnout from pushing ourselves so hard.

I'm sorry to disappoint everyone who has been excited for it to come out this month, but don't worry, we're almost there, ok?

As long as we don't have any major setbacks, the beta is looking incredibly likely to be released next month. All of the programming for the beta is complete. Right now, we just need time to fill out the game with all of the new content.

The beta will be coming soon~ Very very soon~

Like I said a while back, Nebula+ Patrons will be given access to the beta first to allow them to test and play the game for feedback before I release it to the masses!

This will be a trend we will continue going forward, so if you want to get your hands on the new version of the game before anyone else, I highly recommend supporting our Nebula+ or higher tiers!

The beta will not have a free version coming out alongside it, so for anyone waiting for the free version, you'll have to wait until the next update before being able to play the released beta.

Monster XXXperiment Beta v1.0.0 Public Progress Update 3!

Hello Researchers!

As you all know we've been working incredibly hard on the new version of Monster XXXperiment! Our goal is to get the beta release out of Monster XXXperiment before the end of THIS MONTH! So wish us luck we're going to need it.

We've changed so much about the game while hopefully keeping a lot of what you all enjoyed previously, while adding tons and tons of new content. To test out this new beta version and to see all of your feelings about the changes the only Kin that will be available will be Flare.

Now before anyone gets upset, this is a Flare with a wider arrange of content and stuff for you all to do to make researching feel so much more engaging and fun to do!

Speaking of which below is a list of all of the new features we've been testing before the release:

• Activity System! - While testing we felt like the schedule part of this was a bit to clunky and wasn't as fun as we thought it would have been. We want you all to be actively doing stuff with your Kin so we scrapped the schedule part of the system and just created an activity system. How this works is when entering the Kin's room there's a new activity selection, which will allow you to choose from a list of general and Kin specific activities to partake with them in. Doing these activities is now how you the researcher will be able to earn reputation, social stat with Kin, affection with Kin, and funding! To unlock more activities you'll have to purchase new research equipment, or unlock them through the new Kin dialogue system.
• New Dialogue System! - We heard you all, and we have adjusted. The Kin dialogue has been improved drastically. Before it felt a bit too Kinetic Visual Novel-like and didn't really make the player feel like a researcher finding out about the Kin. More that you all were purely along for the ride. Well not anymore we've spiced up the dialogue while still keeping the amazing writing from WhiteFeather. There will be more interactions through lines of dialogue and opportunities for you all to earn some social points with your Kin, along with hidden secrets in the dialogue that could lead you to unlocking a new activity, or even down the path of finding a research discovery.
• Research Discoveries! - As we talked about before Research Discoveries are in the game now, these discoveries are hidden quest and hinted at within the new writing. Figuring out the requirements for these research discoveries will reward you all with passive funding gain from your discovery, special scenes and massive brownie points with the Kin who's discovery you figured out.
• Feeding Mini-Game - A lot of our big goals with this update is making the game more interactive adding more gameplay and features. One of the new things we're testing currently is the new Feeding Mini-Game it's pretty simple. Once per day the player can feed a Kin, but unlike before how choosing the right diet just made it automatic now a mini-game will pop up with 5 random dishes and the price. It's to test your knowledge about a Kin and their dietary needs. Trust me the Kin will make it very known how they feel about the meal you've served them, doing this will regenerate a certain amount of energy for the Kin for that day allowing you to do more  activities or dialogue for the day.
• Shops and Items - Like we stated before there's a couple of shops and a ton of items we added to the game, purchasing items from these shops can do anything from unlocking more activities, gifts for your kin, and much more.
• Quest System - Karen does more stuff! While we're still working out the kinks one of the big systems we're adding is our new question system I spoke about previously. Karen will give you daily research task that you can complete for an extra bump in funding. Some Kin may give you a quest as well for parts of their story lines.
• Environment Changes - We made a few changes to how environment works, no longer will there be sliders for the temperature and lightning, we simplified it a bit since a lot of players were having a few issues with it.
• Jukebox! - You'll be able to buy new music from one of the shops and change what music plays in certain parts of the facility. Be warned the Kin will know what you're playing in their room so you better choose their favorite song!
• Event Changes - We have changed events so instead of them popping up randomly a notification will be on a Kin's room showing that an event is available. Clicking on the room will start the event like how milestones work.
• New Animations! - We have new sprite animations and possibly even sex animations but no promises on that yet, it's still a lot of work and we would need more funding for our studio to be able to do them regularly

Sorry for the long wait, I know so many of you have been wanting to play the new version of Monster XXXperiment for a long time now. We're trying our best here at the studio to get it done, we actually rebuilt the game entirely from scratch in the hopes of being able to add new content efficiently and easily going forward until the game's completion. The beta launch will have a few rough edges and I'm sure a few bugs we won't account for, but we will be working to fix and adjust those based on all of your feedback going forward.

Remember the game's price will be increasing to $10 USD once the beta releases, we've put so much hard work and care into this game that we feel confident it's ready for this price point now. If you want to get the game while it's still $5 I recommend buying now.

Flare's New Sex Scenes in the work!

I told you let us cook we're working incredibly hard here at the studio to hopefully get the beta out this month!

Karen's finalized sprite with all of her new emotions are now complete as well!

With this all the new sprite artwork has been completed. I'll be giving an overall review about how much progress we have left before we can release the beta within the next couple of days!

Character Expressions and new final forms of their Character Sprite Artwork, completed for Flare and the MC. Only Karen left to go, with that all of the finalized sprite artwork will be complete.

New writing is being worked on, so expect new content with Flare.

Of course our gameplay has been worked on so hopefully now the gameplay will be just as strong as the writing!

We're aiming for Christmas, just like when we released the first build ever. Wish us luck!

New Facial Expressions, Talking and Blinking Animations

We're still on our polishing mission, and recently we took a look at our talking frames again and animations. Before we had a simple open mouth, closed mouth set up that could look weird and bug out at times. Now we have animations that was animated with Spine to make a smoother animation along with more freedom with expressions!

Day and Night Cycle Final Version

The Final Version of the Day and Night cycle, with this the new facility is complete!

We're working incredibly hard to finish the Beta for you all and we want to make sure we make the biggest splash possible!

Like I said in a previous post the beta is functionally complete right now we're working on content and polishing the beta before releasing to all of you here on Patreon first to play through!

New Day Night Cycle Animation

I hope everyone is doing well sorry for lack of updates this month. The stuff we've been working on takes a bit longer to prepare before we're ready to show it off.

Functionally Monster XXXperiment Beta is ready to go! Right now we're doing polish work on art assets and writing new content for you all to experience in the game!

Still no release date yet, but we're over the hill now. But for now I hope you all can enjoy this new day night celebration animation for the brand new Management Screen!

Monster XXXperiment Beta v1.00 Updates

Hello Researchers!

I know you're all so excited for the next version of Monster XXXperiment!

We're still hard at work on the beta here in the studio, sorry for lack of posts it's been mainly the boring behind the scenes stuff that's been worked on but here's where we are currently.

• The first version of the rebuilt game has been completed, currently we are importing Flare's content into this new version of the game.
• The new management screen is still in production I've sent a few work in progress screen shots and Foo is doing an amazing job on the pixel art!
• New expressions for Flare and the MC have been completed just waiting for them to be colored before being added to the game.
• I've been in talks with our Composer and Writer about them getting started on their next steps soon.

We plan on letting Nebula tier and above supporters play the first playable build of the Beta once it becomes available, and once any outstanding bugs have been found and we've tested how fun the new gameplay is it will become available to Star Patrons and those who purchased the game on Itch.io.

New Management Screen WIP

Been a bit, was on a small vacation last week to recharge from some burnout and personal life issues, but the rest of the team has still been working hard!

And thanks to all of you supporting us I think it's time we upgraded our management screen next!

First Look at the Schedule Screen

Just like I spoke about before in a previous screen, a schedule will be implemented in game to expand the games management gameplay. We're hoping to get a few beta testers hands on all of the new gameplay by the end of may.

Here's a quick look at the player's schedule menu, in this menu will show all mandatory scheduled events that the player has to partake in directly.

Monster XXXperiment What's Next?

Hello Researchers!

I hope that you all are loving what we've done with the last Alpha Update of Monster XXXperiment!

Long post incoming now that this update is out I want to talk about the future and what's next for Monster XXXperiment.

The Last Alpha Build focused on our new art direction and scene direction going forward. The First Beta Build is a rebuild of the game featuring a ton of new gameplay features and mechanics, and we will be using feedback from the build to determine if we are taking the right direction in developing the game. Here's the new gameplay feature and a short description of it below.

Research Discoveries

Our focus is on increasing immersion and right now we feel like the players are just researchers in name alone. We want to change that with the new Research Discoveries gameplay feature. At the start of every new game each Kin will have 5-6 Randomly Selected research discoveries the player has to discover out of a list of about 10 possible discoveries for each Kin. This can range from talking to a Kin at a specific time of day, changing their diet or other factors in their habitat. Or giving them certain items. This will unlock a specific event tied to the discovery and reward the player with funding and reputation for finding it out!

Activities & Scheduler

There are now a number of new activities the player can discover and unlock throughout the game more activities will be added as development continues. These activities can range from activities to raise reputation, funding, and Kin affection. To activities which unlock special events which the player can view and partake in. These activities go hand and hand with the new scheduler. We wanted to increase the management aspect of the game so we decided that letting the player plan a Kin's day to day schedule fixes the genre well.

Quests

Now the player is able to receive quest! These quest is to add a small layer of complexity to advancing a Kin's story line, or side quest line. We're hoping this gives a bit more guidance to players and hopefully we can make some exciting quest lines in the future involving multiple quest. As usual the rewards are the increase of main resources along with special events or items.

Shops

That's right more stuff to spend that hard earnt funding on! From outfit shops to buy different outfits for Kin (which as usual may unlock special scenes), to hiring chefs and other employees to increase productivity of other parts of your facility, we're hoping this feature will be accepted by all.

With a number of other core changes a lot is changing with the new build of Monster XXXperiment so we're hoping that you all enjoy the new features as we roll them out for public play soon!

We have a few more features in mind but they will be announced with time!

Patreon Changes and The Future

Hello Everyone New and Old!

Thank you all so much for supporting us on Patreon!

I would like to address some changes I will be making to the Patreon going forward now that the studio is starting to ramp up again after our downtime.

First off posting, I will be trying harder to make sure that we at least have a weekly development update once a week, it's a bit hard at times because some of the stuff we work on is just backend programming stuff, but hey I'm sure hearing about some of the new functions I made would be cool to some people right? Anyways expect the Patreon to be a bit more active weekly as development continues to ramp up.

Currently our tiers are priced at $5 for the Star Tier, $10 for the Nebula Tier and $20 for the Supernova Tier!

For a long time now I've always felt like we didn't give enough to our higher tiered patrons however with the new beta build of Monster XXXperiment in the works all of that will be changing!

As before Star Tier will grant you access to the game, along with development update, behind the scenes in progress works, and of course all of our love for supporting our studio.

But now with a lot of the changes that have been done to Monster XXXperiment to allow us to add bonus content easier, Nebula and Supernova supporters will finally have a few more benefits to supporting at those tiers!

Nebula tier and above will now be able to vote on outfit polls for the different Kin, these outfits will be purchasable in game for your Kin to wear and possibly have some hidden events tied to them~

Supernova tier will have access to event polls for the different Kin, this will allow Supernova supporters to suggest different events that we can have for some of the Kin (As long as we deem the event to be in character) and add this event in game for everyone to enjoy!

As we continue to grow I would like to add even more benefits as well for supporting but this is what we're going to start with for now.

Sorry everyone I've been trying my best but there's a few more errors I need to short out before I feel 100% confident in releasing the update. 

Since this is our last Alpha update I do want to give it our overall best foot forward and for this reason sadly I'll be pushing the update back for the last time by a few more days.

The update will be released Friday April 28th - Saturday April 29th.

I'm sorry to disappoint everyone but please just wait a little while longer!

Monster XXXperiment Last Alpha Update Changelog

It's been a long time coming, but your holiday vacations are over; it's time for all of you to return to work!

On April 19th, I'll be gifting you all with Monster XXXperiment v1.8, the last Alpha update! While a majority of our big system changes will be saved and revealed for the first Beta update, this version of the game will contain almost all of the game's character art remastered, along with our new direction going forward with H-Scene.

After the release of this update, no more work will be done on the alpha version of Monster XXXperiment. We will however be showing you all the more feature-complete Monster XXXperiment Beta within the coming months.

But for now, I hope you all enjoy the following changes for Monster XXXperiment v1.8!

End of Month Update (We're Finally Finished!)

It's been so long everyone...sorry for not posting nearly as much as I should have been this month.

We've been working long and hard and on this Final Day of March I can announce to you all that all of the assets for the LAST ALPHA VERSION of Monster XXXperiment is finally complete!

Here are some preview images of the new sex scenes and I really hope you like the overall improvement to the art style.

We will eventually be going back and remake Flare's, Karla's, and Sevros H-Scenes but for now we look onward towards the future finally finished with our half year long obligation.
