SSFF T-Shirt Reveal!

Hey fam!!

Our t-shirts are coming! And here's the design!

A few months ago we asked you to vote on a design for the SSFF t-shirt and this doesn't look like either of those. That's because our contact at Fangamer forwarded our concept to one of their artists and they came back with this amazing piece. It's definitely better than anything we would've come up with and we couldn't be more happy with it!

We're very excited to be working with Fangamer, they've always created high q...

SSFF Post Script Podcast Ep 2: Mighty No 9/Inafune

Hello Supporters!

The second episode of our backer exclusive podcast is ready! Derek interviews Grace about the incredibly challenging Mighty No 9 and Keiji Inafune videos! It is a fair bit longer than our last episode because there's much much more to talk about, so get comfy!

And just a reminder, there's still a backer exclusive video to watch if you haven't yet. Space Raiders (GC), Is It Really That Bad? is still up for supporters to watch, it will go public on youtube next week, so e...

[SSFF] Punching Weight Ep 13 | Console Downloads Before the Internet

Hello again supporters!

One more video for ya if ya nasty!

Grace stars in her first episode of Punching Weight, all about the wild world of console video game download services before the internet!

We apologize for dog-piling these videos on you. After finishing up the Mighty No 9 videos, we were super excited about working on smaller projects for once. We were so excited that we started a bunch of them without focusing on finishing them!

But the good news is this video...

[SSFF] Space Raiders (GC) Is It Really That Bad?

Hello again, Skeletons Crew!

Got another hot n fresh video for you, and this one will be exclusive for the supporters for a couple weeks!

It's a new episode of Is It Really That Bad? and I'm really excited about it. It's the first IIRTB? episode edited by guest editor Alex Cater and I think he did a fantastic job. Alex brought a flair and style of editing that I know I sometimes lack. I think this is definit...

[SSFF] Ghost in the Shell (PS1) Review

Hello supporters!

Here's the first of a couple videos that are coming your way! This one is going to go live in a bit, sorry, it wont be exclusive for very long. But they other's will be exclusive for a time, so get ready for those!

Hollywood's big-budegt adaptation of Ghost in the Shell comes out tomorrow, so the time was right for us to go back to the 1997 PS1 game. Fun fact, we were originally going to cover this game in our Jumping Flash video a few years ago but ran out of time. If ...

So, good news, it looks like we finally have a timeline for T-shirts, which is they will be available by the end of May. We just finalized our contract with Fangamer, so we are all go! :D

Also, just an FYI, we are planning on updating our logos, banners, and bumpers for Patreon, Youtube, Twitter, etc. So if you see someone on your feeds who looks like a weirdo you don't recognize, it's probably us! We are planning on putting this into effect on April 3rd.

T-Shirt Update...

Hi Everyone!

On the t-shirt front, first off we would like to apologize for the long delay in getting the t-shirts ready. We have struck up a deal with fangamer, and they are currently tweaking our design to make sure that it is high-quality and print ready. We are hoping to have some good news on that front soon!

Until then, stay radical,

Mighty No 9 / Inafune Podcast Questions Needed!

Hello Skeleton Crew!!

Grace and I are finally recording a Post Script Podcast for the Mighty No 9 and Inafune videos. I will be hosting the podcast, interviewing Grace as these projects were largely her babies. BUT we'd gladly take questions from you all! Is there anything from the Mighty No 9 Kickstarter Breakdown and Keiji Inafune videos you'd like to know?

We'll be recording it later today, so get your questions in ASAP!

Also, check out the previous podcast where Derek des...

[SSFF] Mini Mortem: Reggie vs Mother 3

Surprise! Another freaking video!! And another new show (kinda).

Ok, we said that we weren't going to be making any more new shows in 2017, but we occasionally need projects that aren't so research intensive. Punching Weight works this way, but we wanted MORE. So we thought up Mini Mortem, just like Past Mortem but just smaller stories. Pretty simple. Grace came up with both "Mortem" titles by the way!

Funny story, the Marvel vs Capcom was originally going to be the first Mini Mortem but...

Past Mortem: Marvel vs. Capcom vs. The Infinity Liscense

Hi everyone!

Here is our video on why the announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite was  a bit of a shock. The research of this video was interesting because what started as a video on the Marvel vs. series ended up going way beyond our regular wheelhouse.

Extra points if you spot Tony Hawk in the video!

Thanks,

Grace and Derek

Also look forward to the Marvel vs Capcom video and a short piece about Mother 3 coming very soon.

Past Mortem: Keiji Inafune Audio-Only Preview

Hello Supporters!!

Grace and I have been working on the Inafune-focused follow-up to our Mighty No 9 video for a while now. And I'm happy to say that it's nearly complete.

For now, enjoy the audio only verion! A couple peices will be rerecorded by Grace but the script will not have any major changes so this about 95% final.

Let us know what you think or if you think we made any errors. And thanks as always for the support!

[SSFF] Bomberman Act Zero (X360) Is It Really That Bad?

By the way, we can't say how much we appreciate your support ... your generocity paid for our copy of this game! But it went to a local Seattle video game store.

[SSFF] Punching Weight Ep 12: Remakes Better than the Originals!

Hello supporters!

Punching Weight has returned! In this video, I finally get to talk about the HD remaster of Perfect Dark, one of the big inspirations for the Punching Weight show. Plus, I love any excuse to talk about Castlevania. We used music from Adventures of Cookie and Cream for the Super Mario section to avoid content ID stuff from youtube. I'm curriouse to see how people respond (or if they even notice!). Anyway, this video will be exclusive to you radical peeps until tomorrow a...

[SSFF] No Man's Sky, Is It Really That Bad?

Hiya guys!

Grace here. We are having a SSFF double-feature with an IIRTB with one of the most significant (in my opinion) games of 2016, No Man's Sky. This video is going to be exclusive to the Patreon until the 9th, so enjoy!

We think the fallout surrounding No Man's Sky will fundamentally changed the way retailers, publishers, devs, AND gamers will deal with hype around a video game (hopefully). But, putting all that mess asided, Derek and I wanted to find out if it really was THAT bad...

This is a super cut of footage of Geoff Thew from the YouTube channel Mother's Basement. For the Rule of Rose review, we wanted Geoff to record a couple takes of a single line for a quick cameo. What he actually did was record 17 minutes of him doing the line over and over again. It's been edited down but it's still every damn take he sent us.

[SSFF] Rule of Rose (PS2) Review (ft. Matt from Super Best Friends Play and Mother's Basement)

New video! The last Halloween video for 2016. We asked for your votes and Rule of Rose won by a pretty wide margin! This was my first time playing this game to completion and I'm sorry to say it didn't exactly wow me. If you can find this game for cheap, it's maybe worth it if you're a big fan of horror and adventure games.

This is first time we'd had guests in a non-EDF video. We've been trying to get Geoff in a project for a few months now and Matt actually contact us to ask if he could be i...
