We get Ellie's backstory in this episode, while Joel is still bleeding out.
We meet Riley, her best friend, but finds out she's leaving Boston to join the
Fireflies. Ellie says "Don't go"; Riley says "Ok" then, of course CHAOS
ensues! They both get bitten and it's SO sad. Ellie tries to help Joel by
