Cat like.

The ability to pose is definitely a skill Gracie has acquired, and the light behind makes her pose even more dramatic.
Only cats can pose like this without even trying, models have to practice a lot to become so natural and expressive, making even such a simple position perfect.

Skin deep.

As I was working on this picture, I decided to export it and schedule it for my Community of Patrons.
This shooting may reach the Archives just after Sophy's (number 2), albeit the word "just" has a flexible meaning in the Bramley Apple project...

In this photo I love the traces of fabric on the breast of Paulina, so much so that I wonder why I still insist for them to disrobe as soon as possible to get rid of any sign on the skin.

Prying eyes.

Strangely enough, a portrait of Martina from this shooting performed badly on Flickr, but performed very well on YouPic (compared with other photos).
Every platform has its own kind of people, and specific tastes that remain mysteries for me.
What's sure is that my Patrons generally like the photos of Martina, and I hope also this one.

I like my model to live their nudity in a casual and unapologetic way.
And Mary in this picture is really exuding confidence about her body!
I don't remember exactly if the wall was actually red, or if the color is just a projection of her passionate disposition in that moment...

Keep it on the skin.

The necklace of Rabbit is a reminder of her mother, and she always wear it, so I was happy about it, because it reflects her personality.
I don't want my models to wear fabrics of any type.
But necklaces, rings, bracelets or piercing are not covering much of their body, on the contrary, they are revealing inner feelins.

Pearlescent.

The skin of Quinn is so white, that it shines in the shadows of this balcony.
I wonder if somebody was looking while we were shooting outdoor in Milano...

Nearly finished.

It is pretty clear now Sophy (the second shooting) is going to be the next folder to appear inside my Archives.
I feel greedy to work on these pictures for months without sharing nothing with you...

I never want to do like Dottir again: in that case the folder reached Archives even before I properly builded up some expectation by posting enough pictures of her.

Props.

There are limited amount of poses that you can do with the body alone, but if you add props into the equation, they can help a lot in finding new poses and justifications for them.
The bed in this apartment had some fancy posts in the four corners, of the perfect scale to interact with Martina's body, and we used them a lot.

The framing is slightly skewed, but this is a problem only for fanatics like myself, and the photo works well even if the post is leaning on one side.

Think pink.

The quilt on the bed and the skin of Anneth are blending well together, and also the rest of the room is echoing the same pink hue.
Having seen this photo, it is the only color I can think of...

This was another set shot entirely in the house of Merate, and reminds me of a happy period during which I had a great location at my disposal.
I tried to use this location as much as possible, and made the most out of it.
Now I have to do without it, but I'm still managing to work well...

Intimacy.

Not all of my photos are meant to be masterpieces, most of them are just documenting the beauty of my models, in a casual, private and confidential way, as if we were intruding in the private life of these girls.
Because I think this are the true boundaries of sensuality, not the nude bodies, but the soul of these models shining through their eyes and gestures.
This is giving us a genuine sense of intimacy with such beautiful creatures.

Telephoto porch.

This porch in the house of Merate was very handy and ideal for the use of long telephoto lenses like the Nikon 135mm f2 Defocus Control.
Lots of space to move with the lens and frame Ania on both sides, protection from direct sunlight at least for most of her figure, and protection from the eyes of the neighbors.
That's why I used this special lens many times under this porch, and you can see also in this photo its signature magenta color fringes on the front legs of Ania (mainly).

The power of the dark side.

Lately I've noticed my pictures becoming darker.
Not the one already extracted that I'm just retouching, nor the ones from the Archives, but only the ones that I'm still working on in Lightroom, so the one from the last shootings, or from the ones still in the initial stages of the workflow.
I'm not sure why this is happening, maybe because I'm not properly tuned with the display on the new MacBook Pro, or maybe because I'm now working on the pictures mainly in the living room whilst li...

Still capable of blushing.

I enjoyed shooting with Alexa, because she was something different from my usual models, she tried her best to humor me with my ideas, and she had this delicious tendency of blushing that most experienced models are loosing soon in their career.

House of the Dragon.

Some models are just posing like beautiful figurines, ornaments, pretty objects, and there is nothing wrong with that, you can shoot some great pictures of these ladies, they might even make a living out of this hobby, at least as long as their beauty lasts.
I’m not giving names because I don’t want to offend any model, it is just a simpler approach to this profession, there is nothing wrong about it.

Slim represents the "suicide girls" category, something that has been aspirational for at least one generation worldwide.
When I worked with her, she had been on the stage for a long time, and she had become a very talented model!

Nowadays you don't hear talking a lot about suicide girls, now they call them "alternative models", albeit they look the seme, possibly even more extreme in the body modification department.

Whenever a model turns away from my camera, like Anna in this photo, I wonder what she might be thinking about...
Some might think about their lovers or the message they need to reply to on the mobile; some might think about the next pose to strike; some about the fantasies the photographer might nurture about her.
Anna confessed to me she really liked the thrill of posing nude in front of a photographer, but this didn't last very long.

Our life will be full of doors, and we must try to open every one of them.
Some will stay closed even if we push them hard, but some will give way and reveal what's behind.
You don't want to experience the regret for not having at least tried.
And if they don't open, don't worry, move on, you will find plenty more doors along the way.

Not sure when I will be confident enough to take up once more the Nikon 180mm f2.8 ED AI-s, if ever, I will have to rely on the in-camera image stabilization, and possibly have faith in the models talent to stay still...
After all, in photography, if you don't take some risks, you end up making always the same pictures, maybe still good and capable of making justice of your models, but repetitive.

Starting the New Year with a Bang!

Shooting in the Summer is much better: better light, better temperature, happier models.
Dottir looks gorgeous and lively in the sun and with the additional light from the Profoto A1.
Skin glossy with sweat, and mesmerizing blue eyes, this is a portrait of a healthy naturist lady.

Clearly this kind of pictures were not possible with Sugar on Sunday, so we concentrated on different approaches...

🍏 HAPPY NUDE YEAR! 🍏

After the gradual approach of yesterday, today I'm giving a pedal to the metal approach to the new shooting with Sugar, with 3 new photos, one on Patreon full figure, and a couple more later on my regular social media feed and on DA Subscriptions.

Sunday I shot Sugar once more, and this time in a comfortable, clean and warm hotel room.

Early stages of admiration.

This photo is from my 3rd shooting with Martina, my first time in this Brescia apartment of fellow photographer Bottarelli, during October 2018.
And there is still so much to be appreciated in this early stages of our working relationship.
Martina was probably in her best shape of all times, radiant with youthful enthusiasm and exuding sexiness from every pore.

Basking in the heat.

Cold in Italy now, but somehow it is helping to look at this photo of Sophy on a balcony, absorbing the heat of a pleasant sunny day in the beginning of May.
