So I have the pleasure of using this for the next week. As I’m working on this album for the artist I mentioned barns. One of the perks is lots of time with this. As you can see I’ve just stuck it into my setup hahahahaha. I’m going to record lots of bits and bobs from it and do a video on it. But I’ll make sure I record some cool loops and samples! LIVE MODULAR MIX VOLUME 2

this is the second instalment of the live mega mix, made from all the parts jammed in the last livestream, i took all of the recording, got all the best bits, gave it a mix and boom! a nice long mix, this one is slightly shorter than the other one. In a few months this will go public on spotify, but for you for now! here we go.

ill be jamming the parts for the VOLUME 3 in the next livestream! which i will announce in a few days should be in about a week so keep an eye out :)

Modular Live Megamix vol 2 PART 1

so heres the first chunk of this months modular mega mix made from the parts i recorded in the livestream, this ones looking like it'll be about 20 mins long, ill have it done in about a week! but Heres the first "song chunk" from it! if you watch back the the livestream you'll probably recognise as the first jam in it, however i have re pitched the vocal samples to get more of a "hook" out of em.

Gameboy Megamachine Jam From tomorrows video!

FINALLY!!! iironned out the problems i had been facing. it was down to my module that sent voltages into an arduino which adjusted midi CC's in parameters in the gameboys, turns out i had them all set way way too sensitively, that even a bit of noise on the power rails would send out way too much information, causing the gameboys to drop out or play duff notes, Now i have reduced the resolution of these knobs and the problem has gone! WOOO.

well.... long story, a very long and very Argh kind of story. The last 3 or so days (plus a couple before Christmas) have been spent going "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS"... 

When i started adding more gameboys to the mix, aswell as more circuits here and there it gradually got a lot more flaky, notes were dropping out, sounds were going all weird and gameboys were crashing. 

It got to the point that i figured i needed to go back to square one. So this last 2 or 3 days i've bee...

Heres an updated ms20 filter with added high pass switch, its proper squeltchy, i tested the design in a builders livestream last night by modding a Low pass one i had already made, and the mod took 15 minutes and worked first time.

I'll be shooting a video on this mod sometime this week, but for now! heres the layout :D

Gameboy Mega Machine VLOG 2

Here it is! ill make it public later this afternoon! but im posting to say i listenned and ill be sharing a high pass filter mod for the ms20 filter tomorrow! :) ill do a quick builders livestream later today to try and actually get it to work, its a super simple mod only requiring 2 extra components (one being a switch) to make the low pass also a high pass!

CPU MOD MODULE FROM GAMEBOY MEGA MACHINE

So here is a design built upon the Circuitbenders.co.uk LTC1799 mini circuit board. Which is used to inject oscillator signals into any piece of electronics that is clocked by a crystal. I have only tried this circuit with a gameboy, but it will work with anything that the LTC1799 works with, check the circuitbenders site to see what that is! even a lot of modern effects pedals aswell as the sparkfun wav trigger!!!

Hello all! this was going to be a Vlog. But well......... i had a gig last night and by the time i got back to the studio around 3, through a complicated scene of events i couldn't get in. so i ended up sleeping in the car because i couldn't dare leave all of the stuff in it overnight. so yeah feeling a bit croaky!!!!!
