Ok so! this was meant to fit with last weeks vid, but i ditched the CPU idea and just went feeling around the Midiverb!!!

I'll also be announcing at the end of this video the next giveaway!!! which is the Frankenstein gameboy!!! hopefully it will be of use to someone!!!! and yes ill leave the CPU crystal injection jack in it, ill drill it into the housing mind!

Also! audio will be available from the random Midiverb jam!! theres some interesting points in there for sure!

Clocking a Gameboys microprocessor with your oscillators

so heres something i kinda dreamed up by connecting the dots. heres a clip from the middle of the vastly unedited video for tomorrow merely showing you this! and the idea process.

So you can get from GETLOFI a precision oscillator board to adjust the pitch of a gameboy and other things.... but this video is skipping that and soldering a wire straight to the gameboys crystal so you can plug an oscillator into it

so the oscillator controls the clock speed!!!! more info in the vi...

Theres a rather intetesting video on injecting oscillators into things. to override their clocks. Ive had varying success! but a cool video and it has created some interesting beat loops and samples! which will go up here ofcourse!!

Zine

A new zine is coming. On this and the hundred oscillator megadrone. As Ive just ordered pcb’s for rows of 5 oscillators to try o. To experiment with different transistors to lower the current requirement aswell as rudimentary cv control.

not the last layer but to keep everything together. looks pretty messed up at this stage. more holes. more servo's and a lot more wires  BOOM.

So the eyes and mouth are on the skeletal frame, the rest is going on the other part of the assembly. The mouth was a chattering teeth toy with all of the mechanics removed and a servo behind it.

More info to come, but all will be CV'able, with minimal changes to the Knob example code of the arduinos! super simple. but i think when its done its going to have a profoundly creepy effect upon the world. :D

SO! update, ive been updating daily on the above mystery build. the trials and tribulations so far. so the EYES ARE DONE. i have a lot more servo's to add. 8 in total so an arduino wasn't gun...

NEXT PROJECT UPDATE 2

So the next project is on its way, i'm going to be posting a bit of progress each day. This is one of the 2 week projects, its pretty odd, and if it ends up looking anything like it looks in my head, its going to be the most freaky synthesizer add on you will have ever seeeeeeen. (i may be wrong, and happy to stand corrected on that!)

So this is the first step of the mystery machine (still open for guesses),  Sorting out how to use Servos, turns out some cheap servos get sold kinda rubbis...

SPARKFUN WAV TRIGGER BUILD VID

here we go! i filmed the whole process for you.

this way i've found works, however i have not rammed 12volts or over into the inputs! so i don't know how it will deal with that. 

doing it this way doesn't use the wav trigger how it is meant for default. it usually triggers sound when the trigger pin goes to ground, but in this application we need to send it to +5v or whatever is going into it. so there is a program that is on the wav trigger website called WTinit maker it basically ...
