ENBSeries 0.497p is released for Enthusiast tier

Added dynamic cubemaps which activated for objects with 1px size cubemaps. Very useful to make reflective surfaces more realistic, including metallic of complex material. New parameter ForceDynamicCubemapEverywhere in the editor window is not stored in the enbseries.ini for compatibility with mods which strongly require static cubemaps, so if you need this effect, activate parameter ForceDynamicCubemapEverywhere every time.

Updated Skyrim SE version

Increased performance of skylighting effect by 1.6 times more (with RTX3060 card). There is little quality degradation with that, but seems rarely noticable while frame rate is more important for players.

Fallout 4 ENBSeries 0.496p optimized is released

Performance and quality improved for skylighting (1.6 times faster) and ao/il (1.0-1.5 times faster, depends from it's setting). Also fixed annoying flickering of skylighting, sometime it still happens, but rarely enough to play with it enabled. Available for Enthusiast tier users or higher.

Updated 0.491p

Added little bit optimization for ambient occlusion and indirect lighting effect. Performance increase is bigger at higher display resolution, higher quality setting of [ssao_ssil] category and at higher sampling ranges.

How to download Patreon version of ENBSeries

Often i'm asked where to download ENB from Patreon. You should follow the link provided by Patreon to my Discord server and when join it by that link, bot automatically set a role according to the choosen Tier. With special role you can see hidden Discord channels with downloads.

New benchmark results

Previously i was very disappointed by the tests of optimized version for Skyrim SE reported from RTX4090 videocard owner, only in some places it was high enough benefit. Then suggested to turn off depth of field effect (which is external from another author, so can't optimize it) and adjust quality setting for effects which i did higher quality than public version have. Seems he got same results as my own tests, around 20% fps increase in general for 4k resolution.

Benchmark results of optimized version for Skyrim SE

Optimized version of Skyrim SE mod at Patreon got some test results, but they vary a lot, can be 4% in cpu limited areas and highend videocards, 18% gain for same hardware in places more gpu limited. Complex parallax, complex terrain parallax, complex particles and water have the highest fps improvement for any videocard model. But because optimized effects also have higher visual quality, lowering it in the enbseries.ini for optimized effects can give bigger fps raise at equal or better visu...

Optimized version is now available for Enthusiast tier

Test results by some users are not as good as mine about performance increase, depending much from many factors and not stable 20% boost as i have. Some places almost no gain, some 5%, some over 30%. So i decided to make it available not only for early access tier, but lower one too.

ENBSeries 0.491 is now available for Enthusiast tier

There are many players who say bad things about ENBSeries project performance and that's insulting for me as developer of it. First of all, effects can't be free, everybody who say opposite is a liar or fool. Complex parallax performance and quality increase

These two screenshots shows difference in performance and quality of old public version and optimized one. Captured with custom texture which is very unfriendly to parallax effect (because of sharp edges), you can see how much smoother shadows looks like in optimized version. Terrain complex parallax also have the same improvements, but they are less impressive as cache misses much worse there and not avoidable. Wet surfaces effect optimization of quality and performance

An example of visualization how wet surfaces effect changed. To reduce flickering it now uses forced heavy antialiasing and due to optimizations runs faster than non antialiased old version.

Water quality improvement in optimized version

Here are two comparison shots of water displacement (parallax occlusion mapping actually, displacement is less confusing name for users). Both screenshots shows low quality of displacement effect, but optimized looks much better and runs faster as well. Other effects of the water were optimized too.

Screen Space Reflection (SSR) optimization

Continue to optimize WIP version of ENBSeries for Skyrim SE (other games later), changed SSR code to Hi-Z depth raytracing (similar to Deus Ex 3 mod SSR), so it do not have issues any more with noise like previous had and runs very fast. For testing used RTX3060 at 1080p and frame rate is something like 181->179 dropped with this effect enabled, several times faster than before. Skylighting effect optimization and improvements

Last two months working on optimizing effects of the ENBSeries for TES Skyrim SE. It is very time consuming task, lot of measurements and trying various ideas. These screenshots shows more noisy and slower skylighting visualized and cleaner faster new version. Frame rate measured using RTX3060 card by drawing at 1920*1067 resolution 5 times only skylighting itself, all other effects are disabled. Changes in Tiers

Removed some benefits of the tiers, because they just increase the cost by taxes. In fact gives nothing to users, for example, i provide technical support to everybody no matter if user is my patron or not, so there is no sense to mark this as benefit here. From other side, i see some people join without reading description, mostly asking GTA 5 version, which is available on my site and do not need Patreon tier.

ENBSeries 0.450 Deus Ex HR Director's Cut

I didn't update this game for long and one of the reasons were release Director's Cut version of the game while for new users original game was removed from Steam. To develop mod once again didn't worth it I believe. But now, before Cyberpunk, I decided to upgrade Deus Ex HR and make it Director's Cut based. It do use old core, so mod editor not available, need to use Backspace key to reload config file, do not optimize performance much to spend less time on development and set higher quality...

All ENBSeries for GTA 5 are removed from early access downloads available for Patreon users. Some jerks share it to public don't understand completely the difference of being in role of Patreon supporter and the software for sale. Total disrespect to my time. Subsurface scattering for GTA 5

Finished sss effect, game have one, but i don't like it look (one of these screenshots show it), so i did the same as for Skyrim version of ENBSeries. Honestly, this is hard to see while playing, characters are rarely take big enough area on the screen. Also i found that game do not apply it to all characters, maybe around 20% are skipped.

Multipass enbeffect.fx shader

For Skyrim LE and Skyrim SE implemented multipass support by request of Perfectionist's tier user. People asked me about this many times, but this feature conflicts with idea what that shader have to be, so i refused very long time. Well, hope people not get mad at me who had Perfectionist tier but were not able to find any idea for request.
