Ok... difficult position, no space to move, people coming around us... so it's all about giving clear indications, have that presence that doesn't allow deviations and stop shooting as soon as the good frame is in the pocket. 

so much respect for her, trust me,... that rock was not a place you want to be holding position on your toes. 

Dear world: Gabriela

We shot this hard noon light at around 39 degrees C in South Africa. We literally had to rush and get it all done in less than 10min as we saw a group of teenagers coming to the part of the beach we were planning to use all day. 

Few quick changes and the fact she is a stunning, experienced and amazing model made it possible. Shortly posting BTS video of one of the sets so you get the idea how 45 seconds can bring so much.

The first time we shot it didn't go well. I was just out of the hospital from major surgery and she was recovering from a lung infection, none of us could move correctly... it was ok but not epic... so we both kept that feeling inside that we had to make it better. 

One year passed, we met again and took it with passion. This is one of the 14 sets done that morning. <3 

Fresh from the new studio

Hi everyone ! I just shared this little teaser video while we were getting ready on my Instagram... wanted to have it here as some of the sets shot last 2 days will be exclusive to Patreon. New studio is up and running (it's been exhausting at every level) and finally all the work starts to pay off. I have 17 shoots in 13 days, a lot of new content, new models, tutorials, behind the scenes and light setups will come veeeeery soon... just taking all the time I can to organize so it's done prop...

If there's a model I can promise you'll see more of very soon is Julia. Here some images from the first time we met. She is actually right now next to me, helping set up everything at the new working space, and for sure she'll be coming to the studio on a regular basis. 

Love it when models besides gorgeous and fun are also giving a hand whenever you need some assistance to set up light structures and sets. <3  This girl is pure gold.

New Studio, new light, a lot more content coming

Hello everyone! just a quick note to say that in a couple weeks I will be moving to a new space,  Bigger, brighter, beautiful vibe. Wanted to share this quick tour of the space. Very soon I will be posting how I set up the new environment, light diagrams, setups and how I understand the space in case someone is interested in how I approach such a big change. It's a financial nightmare but I am sure will help develop more beautiful images and a complete different mindset.

If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw some gorgeous shots of Carolina at the studio. Here you can see the BTS video of us in action. Her first sentence (in case you dont speak spanish) is: play the music DJ. Can't stress enough the importance of having the right music for each set. 

Here playing "Moments passed" by Dermot Kennedy. strong, intense, vibrant and full of energy like we needed.

6 Never before seen images from our day of work at this impressive villa in the south of Bali. Infinity pool, gigantic white space with stairs and gorgeous rooms. It could only get better with Ana and a bit of sunlight. 

For anyone visiting Bali... name of the place is "Hedonism villa". Just don't ask them to show you the basement under the entrance hall. Shhhhhh... 

Carolina, south France

She is one of my closest friends. Spending time with her is all laughs, talks about life, music and creative moments. Not long ago we spent 3 days locked in a villa somewhere near Monaco (we shot together a calendar that was sold to contribute to the firefighter houses that took care of the big fires in south France some time ago) and out of those 3 days... 20minutes are here as a memory of things that happen when the sun is out. 

Studio work for agency model book update (2 sets of 16)

Two of the 16 sets done with her as request from her new agency. Sometimes updating a model portfolio is a looooot of work when you have to stay creative for so many different looks, having things in mind and a clear moodboard is the only way. On a separate PRO post I will add the moodboard sent by the agency for the 2 looks shown here so you can see how close we get to what the client wants.

As I probably mentioned before, I carry bedsheets (black and white) wherever I go. this is a little studio setup using natural light I prepared for one of our sets in the garden of the place I rent in South Africa. Attached a couple of the final images that came from it.

Decided as an exceptional thing to share a gallery with uncensored images since some of them were already on the printed version of the magazine. They were meant from the start to be seen in all detail and thought it would be interesting to share what wasn't seen on the printed copy. 

Meeting her was an absolute pleasure. We shot  late evening and night in a studio in Los Angeles, using 2 array continue lights so we could move around and forget about flashes... I am not a flas...
