In this video you can see us in action. Location name is Inyony (South Africa), about 2h drive from Capetown. Literally a pool and a bugalow in the middle of nowhere. Here Aude and that way she has to flow and me trying to set the rhythm and giving body directions while melting under that insane sun.
Final images from this can be found on a separate post:

Some of the images not published while we were shooting this set somewhere in Barcelona... from each look we end up with 5 or 6 good frames from where we share a couple on social media.

What are the chances to shoot a stunning french model, in the middle of Africa... and finding a pool? Oh well, sometimes we get lucky. <3
Very soon sharing the BTS video of this session so you can see in detail how the images were taken, the music that was playing and how we both move to make the best out of the location.
This is a frame that never made it to the final selection from our 2 hours of work together in Bali. That was a difficult day... :/
I arrived to the place with a broken ankle and limping like there's no tomorrow. Location had, literally, 400 steps downhill (and then up!) and by the time we were there, Bali did one of those Bali things and rain started to fall. Insane Monzoon rain. So we started shooting our swimwear / implied editorial already exhausted. Once done (1min per set), up a...
Paris balcony in winter... here you have a little video about how it feels to shoot gorgeous Renata (viewfinder point of view and movement).
Also attached the frames that came from those 2 minutes working the set.

Michelle (for sure on my top 3 since i took a camera for the first time).
As you can see, this was shot with hard light (2pm) and not really taking care of sun position or shadows. I move around the model as for me is always more about mood and feeling than actual light position. During my years traveling for photo sessions I had to compromise finding the perfect time of the day for productivity. I literally have to shoot at any time of the day at locations I have never seen before, so ...

Gallery with amazing Michelle during 1.5h in Malibu. Moodboard and BTS available on separate posts!
For those knowing my work you might see color grading for the images is a bit more aggressive than normal, but it was required for the project. Sometimes we need to adapt :)

Doing the final touches to this set with gorgeous Ulyana, very soon sharing here. <3

Some snaps while we were getting make up ready, testing light and finally shooting on that pool. Always a challenge to shoot good material in a location filled with people (forces weird angles to avoind too much background distractions) but nevertheless, we got the frames.
Looking back, we should have done the pool before the sand... the way from the beach to the club (15min of stairs up) with hard hot sun left me really really exhausted. I guess the idea should be "shoot first wh...

Celebrating 5 years that since we met for the first time (for a campaign that went into every Sephora shop in the USA) made me want to share few frames from the last time we saw each other, few months ago. Accessing a private beach in the south of Bali we played a bit with sand and body shapes before starting our real session in a pool for the swim brand that booked us.
Dont miss the Behind the scenes.

Talking about challenging sessions for a model... she came to the studio (we planned the shoot for over 2 years due to both of us with a crazy trips schedule) with a broken ankle. Literally between sets (again, every different look is about 1-2min shooting) we had to wrap her leg with ice and sit down. Nothing like someone motivated and willing to give it all for the pictures. She used to be a dancer and out of experience, their pain level tolerance is something unique.
The goal w...

Short video with some straight forward directions to the model. Shot at around 38 degrees, noon time at the location. Bonus a couple of BTS pics.
Even if, I swear, i am the kindest person ever with models at all times, when we shoot I experienced that it's contraproductive to be over polite giving direction. If a leg looks boring or flat or the model is not 1000% on it, best is always to straight forward let them know.

Doesn't get better than amazing Josephine at an abandoned gas station in South Africa. Shot editorial style as the location was asking for it. We shot this session in extreme hot weather, literally melting outside, but we decided to use it as part of the mood. Josephine is for sure a very experienced model with an amazing look, but having all ready in my head before we went for it (every image already locked in my brain) after seeing the location when we arrived (location scouting is soo...

Here you can see the studio setup prepared on the terrace of my place in Capetown to get this CK underwear set done. Wonderful Chantelle and direct sunlight.

Here you can find the images for the CK set done preparing a studio setup on the terrace of my place in Capetown (plus a couple bonus images of this beautiful beautiful model).
The Behind the scenes video that goes with the set shows perfectly how easy it can get with just a bedsheet and clear ideas. Having in mind a high contrast Black and White for this set we shot the test of the material waiting for the hardest possible sunlight straight to her face.

The way she moves is so unique, always so focused on full body work even if we shoot only portraits. Really a head-to-toes model. Note the wind and how difficult it was to give any direction or have music playing... Capetown has this challenges daily... that's why having a moodboard prepared as a common language between model and photographer is extremely important, same as "agreeing" on some hand signs before starting (like stop, tilt head, chin up, off-look...)

As you can see on the Behind the scenes video, tons of wind coming our way but what a way of moving she has. <3

Here you can enjoy beautiful Amalia in action while we shoot part of the images on the gallery. Everywhere I travel I take with me one black and one white bedsheet, rope, a knive and portable hooks. I literally set up a studio anywhere I am to offer not only "location" feeling but also something more controlled.
