Good for fashion, bad for health
When drawing from a wide-angle perspective, it is quite challenging to grasp the angles of a character that change with height. In this video, I struggled with drawing the hands and feet, which left me feeling confused. Sekoshi-chan is having a hard time washing Hipa-chan's hair, while Nahia-chan is enjoying it. And in the midst of it all, Hipa-chan is sleeping. Seeing them right in front of me often made me smile.

When drawing a character's face, the position of the eyes in response to subtle changes in angle was quite important. There were many things to consider for drawing a balanced face, such as the position of the eyes relative to the head, the angle formed by the vertical line of the face and both eyes, and the size difference between the eyes. For this drawing, there was a limit to how much I could increase the density, as there weren't many objects to depict. Therefore, I increased the densit...

Drawing from a top-down perspective is quite challenging. Especially for the head, it seems that some modifications are needed to draw a cute girl's face, making it a part that requires considerable study. You can see how much I struggle in the timelapse!

While drawing, I think a lot about the overall impression. A drawing that looked fine in the rough sketch stage often looks quite awkward when I start inking, mostly because the thin lines of the ink tend to weaken the impression. In such cases, you can regain the lost impression by adding color for contrast, adding elements, or continuing detailed rendering through the final stages. So don't give up, believe in yourself, and keep drawing! You can directly see the difference in impression bet...

Drawing the head of a character at the desired angle is still a time-consuming task, but after several revisions, I was able to draw a face I am satisfied with. Through trial and error, I often discover parts I had overlooked. At those times, it feels like a stroke of luck. Let's all work hard on our drawings to make our own discoveries!

In the case of a character in a frontal light environment, it seems that the outline part of the line drawing looks like a shadow, so until I darken the thin areas of the lines, the impression seems weak. Therefore, I often feel quite lost as it doesn't feel like I'm making proper progress during the work. By slightly changing the color of the outlines, I can avoid monotony and express the natural contours of the human body. Although I struggled a lot with frontal lighting, which I don't usua...
