WIP #2: Part 82

While I was browsing YouTube one day, a photographer's (probably was Thomas Heaton) words came to me:

"The best conditions often happen just after the worst weather."

And so the weather was awful when we were leaving, black skies, heavy winds and rain. But there was a little glimpse of light, and the strong winds were moving the clouds. So we got this beautiful light!...

Guess who's back - back again.

Leila's back - tell a friend.

Guess who's back, guess who's back, guess who's back...

Ahem. Well.

As some of you had the chance to pop by our brand new Discord server, you might have already seen quite a few photos of Leila being back, although they are the same photos that were shared on Patreon's Lens; so worry not, there's no need ...

A new private Discord server for Patrons (and models!)

Hi y'all!

I should be probably working right now, but just to let you know that I've set up a private server for Patrons... and models.

Not all models will be there, though, because not all of them have Discord accounts nor are they able to partake with their busy lives - and that's perfectly fine!

You can join the discussion via this link: https://discord.gg/bxA3uBp

With the same link you can als...

What kind of video content would you like?

I feel like the project has been doing quite well recently. New kind of content, new kind of videos, better quality.

But I'm still on the edge about the style of video I should be mainly focusing in; worry not, I will probably roll with all of these below, but what do you want to see?

The comment fields are open, and I'm happy to hear your thoughts!

Also, just a heads-up: there's kind of this major update that I've been planning on crea...

Project L: Part 81 - Behind the scenes

Behind the scenes, outtakes or whatever you'd like to call these Patreon-only things are now here, and in many ways they tell more about the project than what I like to display in the main part. The main part is often trying to be a bit more flashier and prettier than the reality is. Because that sells. Or because I'm trying to fool people into thinking that I'm a decent artist.

The behind the scenes show the reality, the not-that-good shots and silly outtakes. Even some that show a bit...

At the very end of the 81st shoot, when we had shot every single angle within Jonna's studio.

WIP #2: Part 81's behind the scenes

Sometimes a decent image won't make it to the main project due to its focus, like for example this image, where the eye is directed to the bum with diagonal and vertical lines.

But we're all grown-ups here, so a bum-focused image is good enough for a behind the scenes photo.

Heh. Bum. Hehe.

WIP: Behind the scenes, part 81

You could probably have caught it, but I did something for the 81st project that I usually don't do; I manipulated the images a little. I did some extremely slight clone stamping and airbrushing for some of the images that Jonna had a small plaster on the left side of her nose. I didn't edit it from all of the images, but just made it more... unnoticeable.

Jonna asked me to edit it out a bit.

But as we're in behind the scenes, we see no need to edit it out - so here it is, a plast...

Stuck at home | Project L: Part 81 - Behind the scenes

Look, a new camera! The mighty Canon 1D X Mark III to surpass my previous Canon 1D X Mark II. While the name does not change much, the new camera inside is bloody brilliant. The predecessor was too, but this just does everything so much better.

Especially video. The previous stills camera did not have such a capacity to grade the colours in post-production and thus its video basically records less colours and their vibrances. The new camera, instead, records even better video than my da...

Project L: Part 81 - Stuck at home

Stuck at home. Pretty much.

I mean, we're not legally forced to stay home, but it's strongly encouraged and most public areas and services have closed.

This photo essay (can I call it a photo essay?) shows the everyday feeling of lounging around and being bored. I hope we captured that look.

Also I now have a Canon 1D X Mark III. It's bloody brilliant. By far the best camera I've ever owned - and I've owned many.

Oh, also - my thing wasn't Covid-19 - it was ...

Stay safe - I'm a bit under the weather

Hey y'all,

It seems that I've caught something resembling the corona virus. Been having fever and muscle pains for over a week now, and had to cancel two Project Ls. As it is under control and I can withstand the illness at home, no tests have been done due to Finnish healthcare policies.

As soon as I get better, the shoots will continue with those models who live in the Uusimaa area - the rest of Finland has been shut off from us by the government, as the Uusimaa region has th...

Ooh, I'm totally on time again!

No, I'm not, sorry.

We've actually moved now, and the process of moving was one of the most exhausting moves I've ever had, even though the apartment was less than 300 metres away from our place. There's just so much unorganized stuff.

I'll try to get the BTS photos out as soon as I can. Meanwhile, here's one of them. This is the interview setup I had.

WIP: Part 79's BTS

The 79th part's behind the scenes are late, I know and I'm sorry! This thing called "real life" has taken a huge slice of my time as of lately, with the baby teething and work requiring some extra hours to be put in.

I'm working on some backlog right now, to bring you the 80 part's BTS... and with the same breath I should do the 76th part's BTS photos, too.

High-resolution photos: part 79 (4K!)

Hi.

Last few weeks have been hell on the front of my actual work in corporate communications. The yearly report for 2019 was released, and it required a LOT of work on my side.

I'll do my best on finishing up the missing Patreon rewards and behind the scenes now that's all done for now.

Here are the high-res photos. 4K, woo!

Project L: Part 80 - Latex baking show

It took me quite a lot of effort to edit the video, and not to mention the girls' extremely wonderful performance on the show.

I'm all out of words.

Behind the scenes are coming for this project, and I'll open up more there (and 79th part's, too, worry not).

Sorry for the delay. Got a flu, and had absolutely zero energy to climb upstairs and do editing. Well, now the thing is exporting, and hopefully it's alright – I mean, it does take ages to export 25 minutes of 4K video with my sneeze pump of a computer.

Oh, and I ordered Canon's new 1D X Mark III for myself. Need it for everyday work, and I'm sure it'll boost up the quality of Project L's upcoming video productions as well.

The long edit process is beginning to near its end...

...and it's now over 23 minutes long. Whoops!

I'll try to get it finished this week, as this is only the rough edit; I'll need to look into faster cuts and to try and make more sense with the flow of the video.

WIP: Part 80 #1

Well, this is what's going down and coming up: a baking show by Project L!

Hosted by two professional pastry chefs, with whom you might be familiar already – Didi Ou and Essi!

And no, this isn't a bad joke. We actually filmed a whole baking show with all of its silly elements included. My guess is that editing will take some time.

Project L: Part 79 - A no-snow January

The 79th part has been released in a record time!

There are photos and things and stuff to be seen in this project.

As I wrote on Photour, I was amazed how well the skirt fit Jonna and how much of... posture? maturity? authority? it gave to her.

There's also an interview-video coming up soon-ish. When I open up my Premiere Pro, at least.

Work in progress #2: Part 79

Work in progress #1: Part 79

As you can see from this photo, there's no snow in Southern Finland even though it's January. I mean it's bloody +7 Celsius out there, even though it should be something like -20 or something.

Well, here's a work in progress photo of Jonna. Sans snow.

I miss snow. And sun. All we're getting now is rain.

Hoping to be ready by today with these photos!

I mean, the outtakes are not technically that great – but I find them otherwise quite interesting and I hope that they can offer you something that the main part's photos don't.

At least they offer a glimpse to the world of me building the main part.

There's plenty of behind the scenes photos that were decent, but not up to par with the rest of the photos – meaning that there might be some hidden gems that are yet to be published.

Behind the scenes photos are coming up. Soon.
