First Set of Bombshell Beauties!

As I previously mentioned about a week ago,  I'm participating in a sketch card series called "Bomber Beauties" themed around WWII-style pin-up nose cone art. Well the cards finally arrived and I've already drawn and inked 5 of the 15 cards I'll be doing. (Eventually they will be colored with Copic markers as well, but I think I'm going to focus on drawing them all first.)

Here's what I've got so far. I'm really happy with how they're coming along. At least as far as pencilin...

Tuesday Twitch (7/14/20) - Scorpion

Hey, everybody! For a couple days there, it looked like I was going to have to work my day job this evening, so didn't think I was going to be able to stream tonight. Luckily, things got moved around, so it looks like the show will go on! So it would really be excellent if you all get over here (heh heh heh) and watch me draw Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. As some of you might remember, I've tried drawing him on the stream a couple times before, but I've never been satisfied w...

Picarto Stream (7/15/20) - Kitana & Mileena

So, I thought the idea I had for Scorpion on my Twitch stream would carry over fairly well to a sexy lady version, so for this week's Picarto stream, I'll be drawing Kitana and Mileena! So join me tomorrow from 6-8 on Picarto!

Tuesday Twitch Stream (7/7/20) - Bomber Beauties

So it occurred to me that I never really advertise my Twitch stream here. I'm sure most, if not all of you follow me on Facebook where I do talk about it, but then again, you can never really be sure Facebook is going to actually show people the things they've signed up to see, so I thought I'd start plugging it here, too. If nothing else, I wouldn't mind getting y'all's feedback and suggestions on it.

Anyway, I'm kinda excited about this one, too, because it relates to me achievi...

UPDATE: Picarto Stream (7/8/20) - Rebecca Chambers

In keeping with my idea to start plugging my drawing streams on Patreon, and since my "stream team" are now all officially Stash members, here's the subject for this week's Picarto stream: Rebecca Chambers from Resident Evil!

Now, since a few of my Stash members might not know, the "Picarto Stream" is a second live drawing stream that I do, usually on Wednesdays (but that might be changing sometime in the futur...

Captain America

Happy 4th of July, everyone! It's that time of year again when comic artist all across this land of ours are compelled to draw Captain America and his mighty shield. (Those who oppose his mighty shield must yield!) But I thought I'd change things up just a little bit and decided to draw the Sam Wilson version. And considering everything going on in the ol' US of A at the moment, the decision just seemed especially appropriate.

Interesting side note regarding the Speed Drawing v...

July Poll Winners!

I'll admit, both of this month's themes were slightly unusual, and I think that kinda reflected in the overall results. Don't worry, though. I already have August planned out and I promise it will be a lot more straight forward, even if voting might end up being just a little bit more complicated.

But let's not get too ahead of ourselves - the July results are in! It was yet another even spread on the Fan poll with everyone but Ferris Bueller getting one vote a piece. I rolled the...

July Sketch Poll: Art, Not Artist!

You know 'em, you love 'em, you pretend their creators don't exist. Vote now on which of these fun pop culture characters created by shitty ass holes you want to see me draw! Voting ends on Friday!

July Stash Poll: (blank)-Chan OC!

I have to say, the absurdity of this subject really started to strike me as I was looking up images to put in this graphic. The fact that I specifically went out of my way to pick a lamp that looked like it had big boobs and wide hips really made me start to question the decisions I've made in life that have lead me up to this point. Yet despite just how freakin' weird this is, I can't help but be ex...

June Poll Winner: Mega Man!

I'm seriously starting to think there's something wrong with me!

Okay, so I feel compelled to do a full disclosure on this one - This isn't nearly as intricate of a piece as I originally planned. If you follow me on social media, you may have seen me asking about the evil robot masters and saying that I wanted to include a bunch of them. Well, I did, and it was a bit overwhelming, and there was no way in hell I'd be able to finish it all on time. In short, I was making the ...

June Stash Winner: Peach x Zelda

So, yeah. This was fun. lol

Seriously, this was an interesting one. Going into it, I actually had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted to go for, but when I started sketching it out, I realized that it just didn't work on paper the way it worked in my head. One of the challenges of drawing... intimate moments like this is the tendency to want to show different things from conflicting viewpoints. That thought, along with brainstorming new layout ideas, lead to the comic book pan...

Last Chance To Get Those July Suggestions In!

Hey, everybody! The July sketch polls will be going up tomorrow morning, so today is the last day to get those ideas in. Remember, the themes are "good art from problematic creators" and "(fill-in-the-blank)-Chan style OC". I haven't gotten a lot of feedback this time, so now is a great time to secure a spot in the poll if you have any ideas you'd like to see.

A Different Way To Vote?

Hey, guys! So I know we've only just started taking suggestions for the July sketch poll, but this morning I actually found myself already thinking ahead to the August polls. I don't want to give it away, but I'll say that what I have in mind is going to make voting that month a little more complicated. In short, there's going to need to be two winners, and I was brainstorming the best way to go about this. Multiple polls? Allow people to vote twice? One solution I really liked was trying ran...

Stash Suggestions - Getting the ball rolling

So the July theme for the secret stash sketch poll - Sexy (blank)-Chan - went up yesterday and, so far, I haven't gotten any ideas from anybody. I understand. It's only been a day, it's kind of a broad subject, and it's definitely a bit weird. Well, even though I generally try not to influence these polls too much, I thought I might try getting the ball rolling by sharing a few of the ideas I had. Maybe this will inspire you guys to come up with a few suggestions of your own!...

(Heads up, I kind of make a whole speech out of this one, and I "get political" as some might describe it. Feel free to skip to the last paragraph if you just want to to know the month's theme.)

So, things have been a bit rough lately, huh? And I'm not even talking about the pandemic, which is still very real, btw, despite what a lot of people seem to think/pretend. I'm talking protest, police brutality, black lives, trans rights, Me Too. As shameful as it is that this stuff is still an...

July Sketch Suggestion (Secret Stash)

Okay, y'all are going to have to roll with me on this one. It might be a bit weird, but if it works, I think it might be pretty cool. Plus a friend of mine made a joke about this yesterday despite not knowing it was my plan for this month, so I'm taking it as a sign from the Smut Gods that it's meant to be!

See, I'm not doing any established characters for this month. Instead, we're going to create an original character!

Darth Vader Sketch Card

Happy Father's Day, everyone! I thought I'd celebrate by drawing everyone's favorite fascist space dad, Darth Vader! And you can watch me draw him in my latest Speed Sketch video on YouTube! I think this is an interesting one to watch. For one thing, I get to show off one of my favorite tools in Clip Studio Paint: the symmetry ruler! Second, Vader is a tricky character to draw, and, quite often when I try to draw him, I tend...

June Poll Winners

Hey, everybody! Sorry this is going up a bit late, but today was my birthday and I was busy for most of the day so I'm just now getting around to making the graphic. It kind of worked out for the best, though, because I got a dice tower as a gift, so when I rolled to break the three way Secret Stash tie, I got to play with that and be the most confident I've ever been with the results. (I've used online dice rollers in the past and they've always felt a little hinky to me.)

Stash Sketch Card: Pink Ranger!

So, for my birthday, I wanted to do a couple sketch cards/speed drawing videos - one stash and one regular - of some characters that I picked out myself. (As opposed to the commissions and poll winner stuff I've been busy with lately.) Unfortunately, I sort of ran out of time and only got around to doing the stash card. (Yeah, no hints about my priorities there. No, sir!) The other card is still coming, but it might have to be a belated birthday celebration.

But, yeah, the original Pink...

I'm working on the May sketch, Madoka Magica, and I guess there's still technically a chance I'll get it done in time, but right now it's really looking like the finished piece won't go up until next week. I'm really sorry about that. Whew, what a month May turned out to be. I officially went back to work and it's been pretty crazy. As such, I have to admit I haven't put as much thought into June's theme as I usually like to. And June is my birthday month, too, so I would have liked to make it something extra special. But right now, I'm just too dang tired. So, eff it, the theme for June is Robots. I like robots. I've always thought they were cool. So there it is. Any kind you like; from the androids that ...

As I mentioned in the regular sketch suggestion post, I really haven't put as much thought into this month's theme as I probably should have. I did remember that June is Gay Pride Month, though, so what the heck - let's just go with Lesbians. After all, who doesn't like a little girl on girl action? And just to keep this interesting and fun, you're not limited to canon couples or even confirmed lesbian characters. By all means, feel free to hit me up with random couplings too...

Sailor Moon Redraw Challenge

So there's an art challenge going right now to redraw a scene from an old episode of Sailor Moon. This is my shot at it. I tried to make it look like a screen grab from an old VHS dub and I'm pretty happy with how that worked out. There's also been a lot of interpretation of her facial expression. I was reading a discussion last night praising the subtly of the expressions of classic 90's anime, but as we all know by now, I don't really do subtly when it comes to drawing expressions! I though...
