As I mentioned in an earlier post, April will mark the one year anniversary of this page going live to the public, and I thought now might be a good time to try something new. Namely, offering physical rewards! And if you've been following my work lately, you'll know that I've been getting really into creating trading cards. So I thought it might be fun to create the Card of the Month Club!

April Sketch Suggestions

So, Cleveland ConCoction was supposed to be this weekend, but as I've mentioned elsewhere, it was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19. But, like many other canceled cons, the good folks running the show decided to try taking as much as they could online. I was asked if I could do some sort of video or livestream or anything, so I decided to take another crack at doing a timelapse video.

I actually never heard back if the image was approved or not, and just yesterday the show was canceled due to the risk of the COVID-19 virus, but I wanted someone to see it.

Vampire Girl Commission

A recent commission I did of the requester as a vampire character. (I think it was Lady Death, but I don't really know Lady Death well enough to be sure. So, when Megumi from Kona Guardians made it into this month's Secret Stash Redemption Poll, I decided that I didn't really have any art for the line-up that properly showed off her.... attributes, so I created this to help sell her as a sexy character. (I hope so, anyway.) And even though she didn't win, it seemed like a shame to let the full image go to waste. So, here ya go, Meg apparently having some issues with her Kai Charger.

Still plugging away at making trading cards. My MHA series continues with Toga, and I'm trying to build up a little more variety with Princess Leia, Rick Sanchez, and Isabelle in both her Animal Crossing dress AND trading looks with her new BFF, Doomguy. 

March Poll Winners

Both polls had some excellent choices this time, IMO, but I'm pretty happy that these two in particular won. I know that, just by virtue of what the Redemption polls are all about, ALL of the choices were close to winning in their original polls, but these two felt especially close to me, so I really thought they deserved it.

Kona Guardians #2 Preview

So, Kona Guardians went from zero to sixty in no time flat. After a year and a half working on the script in fits and starts, the actual art portion seems to be pouring out of me. (Of course, that early 'drawn script' sure is helping with the basic layouts. We'll see how I do when I get to scenes that were more heavily redone in the re-writes.) February Poll Winner: Zoe & Wash

Oy, Firefly. How I loved thee. Wash was my favorite character, too. I'm still kinda pissed about Serenity. It didn't help that I heard what happens, no joke, about a half hour before I saw it, so I went into the movie freshly bummed out and I know it effected my opinion of the movie.

Man, I really enjoy making fake comic covers, even more so when I can make 'em look old and beat up around the edges. So when Archie and his best gals won the Stash poll, I couldn't resist. So, there's a meme going around where a guy was analyzing some data from Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and I guess due to some kind of graphical glitch or something, it made it look like Princess Zelda had a huge, um... "hitbox".

February Poll Winners

I have to tell ya, this was an interesting one to watch play out behind the scenes. The regular poll got one of the most even spread of votes I recall seeing here and the Stash poll was another tie. My Hero Academia Trading Cards

First there were the regular prints, then there were the mini-prints, and now.... um, micro prints?
