Seriously, Autumn and Winter are totally my time of the year! :D I've got so much done recently and seeing my checklist with so many ticks is even more motivating!

It was some seriously awesomely intense writing this week! :D

The inside of my head whirls until I wonder if my brain might be so sloshy it’ll start seeping out of my nose.
Why not? Everything else seems to be coming out of it. I would laugh at my own joke if my throat didn’t feel like it was made of sandpaper.

So this month, I had a chance to really think about how I wanted the vampires in Wayhaven to look. Although a lot of things are very individual based (power, etc), there are some distinctions between Natural and Human-Born supernaturals.
And for vampires, that is in their teeth!

Although editing isn't my most favourite part of the process...I do LOVE getting to do the test playthroughs after, hehe! :D
Seeing all of your ideas come together in actual narrative form still makes my heart so happy, even after doing this for some time! Going from the intensity of writing the branching and coding and then reading it flow and develop in just the way you want it so as the mechanics aren't obvious is just...AAHHHH! I get goosebumps!

Had some nervous fun this week! It started off with me losing my back-up SD card for Wayhaven. And with my laptop starting to get a little funny lately, every day without backing up was making me more and more anxious!!
By Thursday I was a bit frantic trying to find it, but we did find it (in a super obvious place, of course...)!
But amongst that, I finished Chapter 9! It took longer than I planned because I changed one of the endings. I really just can't be doing with...

The room is dark. Not just because there is only one dim lamp on—the walls and the wooden furniture are all dark, and no décor or ornaments decorate the room. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, considering it's Mason/Morgan's room.

What a week!! Chapter Nine has been SO MUCH FUN!!
And even better, I should be able to finish one of the endings by tomorrow, which means I should finish Chapter 9 early next week!!! Aaahhh!!
But seriously, Chapter 9 has been a blast to write! :D There are 'fail' and 'pass' versions (the stats to pass them something a bit different than just the usual), but the fail ones are just as fun as the pass ones, so I really hope people will enjoy them!

So, much to Nai's dismay, I write everything on bits of paper! :D
It's how my brain works and how I've always planned any projects I do. For some weird reason, I just can't plan things digitally.
Plus, I'm constantly thinking of stuff for Wayhaven—whether it's new ideas or changes to the lore, etc.

Although editing for Chapter 8 was my focus this week, I did manage to get some more of Chapter 9 done, and even finished a scene! It's a 'common' scene (the scene after the two different versions of Chapter 9 that draw it back together before branching again for the endings).
I'm not 100% happy with it so far. It definitely needs a rewrite, as it doesn't quite have the impact I'm looking for yet, but it's much easier to work from a base when than having nothing!

I've talked a lot about all the variation going into Book Three, and how it's so much more than the other books. So I thought I'd show an example from Chapter 9 this month!

Oh, I do love Autumn! It really does get all my inspiration going!
The scene I was working on this week has let me bring in a host of side characters, and I've been really enjoying having them respond to the MC in different ways depending on the MC's personality.

So I didn't manage much editing this week, but that's because Chapter 9 is going SO well, and I just really wanted to go with it!
It's actually slightly different than I'd planned because of the adjustment to the ending of the one version I decided on last week. Now I've adapted it slightly again to add a fun little unexpected fail/success moments on choices that hopefully people will really enjoy!
