It’s Nai writing on behalf of Mishka today as she’s still not feeling up to it but she wanted to make sure she kept you updated.

So, the demo was away to the beta testers this morning!
I am, as always, both wracked with excitement and extreme anxiety to get their reactions back, hehe :D
This week I mostly focused on getting the demo ready for the testing again. Finishing edits, doing my final tests, etc. Trying to catch all of the variations and branches is a lot now. It's getting really complex, so I'll be seriously glad to get the help of my testers to catch what I missed!

So I've said quite a few times how I'm a VERY visual writer. I see Wayhaven in my head like it's a movie, and it's the only way I can write.
I learned early in my writing career (way before Wayhaven!) that I need visual aids in order to write fully and in depth as I like.

When I was looking over the plan for chapter five, I got a flutter of panic about how intense it was with all the split scenes, branches, choice sets, etc.

I honestly don't know what's going on lately, guys, but like...whoa!

Writing all the relationship and being in a relationship stuff has been awesome! (Sorry for rubbing it in A-mancers :D) But sometimes, the scenes where you're not in a relationship are still so delicious to write!

Oh boy, what a week!
Not only did I catch up on my schedule, I zoomed past it and got way further into chapter 5 than expected!
The opening of chapter 5 (which will be the opening of the final demo), is one I've been very excited about getting to write. I didn't actually realise it was in chapter 5 and thought it was a later chapter, so I was very happy to get to this already, hehe :D

The distinct acrid smell of smoke fills my nostrils. My eyes dart about behind my closed eyes, the dark made even darker by the blindfold around my eyes.
“Okay, starting to get a bit worried now…” I mutter.
Farah continues to guide me down the hallways. “Trust me. It’s going to be awesome.” The mischief in her voice is no longer is just a hint but has taken over every word.

So this week was unexpected.
I wanted to finish chapter four this week, and I would have easily except my rat, Bo, needed major surgery.
I've had to watch him constantly to make sure he's all right and doesn't mess with his stitches, so I'm running on about 3 hours sleep over the past 72 hours. It's an interesting state to be in...I think I smell colours at this point... :D
