I went snow hiking yesterday in the local mountains with my dog and a couple friends. It was a beautiful, no cloud in the sky kind of day, but it was very deceptive. The wind would blow and it got extremely cold! I hiked up to about 9400 feet, so by the time I got back, my legs were pretty achy and it was time to warm up. My remedy was a hot bath and a warm glass of whiskey.

This was such a fun shoot up in Brian Head Utah last winter on one of my ski trips. I'm gearing up for the ski season, (I know, I know), we are in the middle of it, but my trips this year are a little later than I'd like. The Water Grill is an amazing seafood restaurant located in the Forum Shops, inside the fabulous Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Dinner at Mizumi, a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Award-winning restaurant, inside the Wynn Resort is quite the experience. I'm back! Did you miss me? I have to say that it was so difficult not picking up my phone and checking in. I think it makes me appreciate all of you more. I spent a long weekend with family and it was relaxing and fun. I really try to stay engaged with them. No phones at the table, watching movies, or visiting with family friends. This bottle of Waterford Whiskey, Sheestown Edition 1.2 came directly to me from Ireland, as I kept hearing about it and I couldn't find it in the States. I was fascinated by their approach to Whiskey, which is very similar to winemakers and grapes, except with Whiskey, it's about the barley. I enjoyed the sips I tried, as it was flavorful, yet light.
