shut up and kiss
oooh boy i have not worked well today. i hope i can get my rear in gear next week
wild peach. i wanted to call her wild blueberry but in japanese that is buruburri and momo sounds better
new character for the comic "Maneater Isle"

well when i put the back ground back in they should look like they are on an altar
this is a large collection so it may take a while to upload all the images and send them out as rewards
no i thing this will look pretty good when done but boy is it taking a long time
well i will have a busy day tomorrow painting this
ok so once again we are back to crom and renamon in this third installment by popular vote
i stumbled across some interesting rigging info which made me think "dammit i wish i knew THAT earlier" but there is still a lot to learn *sigh*
anyway i am setting up crom and renamon in blender so i can use my favorite tools
ok this is done as much as i can think about it right now. i will start another one to refine this method a bit more and see what i can get
so i finished her rig in daz and saved her in the daz system files......and i cannot import her into blender......(sigh)
well the next trial will be to rebuild her with the genesis 3 figure and just create some geo-graft extra limbs.... well at least that way i can make some 4 arm mods for daz that I would want to have
next week it is back to folios as usual but i will be sending alpha builds of daz products as third tier rewards
ok i went through all the polygon groups and assigned them to their respective bones. this makes it a lot easier for me to switch between bones and make the adjustments i need.
ok so there is still a lot of blending and re-tweaking of joints to make the bendes look right so it is back to work for me
ok so far, still good
there are now odd things happening with the weights and the symmetry is remaining stable.
now it is just focusing on the three basic tools that work so well in DAZ
the add weight brush
the smooth weight brush
and the delete weights brush.
each of these in daz handle very well and i feel like i have control over what i am doing.
once all the weights are done i can move on to the next bit.
ok now to gather my thoughts.....
i had to make 91 polygon groups. one for each bone except for the bones in her face (57) and the ones to control her vagina (16)
after that i needed to fill each group with a 100% influence map so it should, in theory, be easier to blend the maps together so that they bend right.
now here is the most important step after saving often.
restart the program
not sure why but if you work too long on ...

so i have redone her topology so she is perfectly symmetrical
now i need to re build all the UV maps for the textures and transfer the bones to this new model
..... i have a lot of work ahead
so if you look closely at this image and try to ignore her breasts for just a moment, you will notice a small area of polygons that are not selected on the left (her left) lower shoulder. now this area of asymmetrical polygons could have been causing the problems i have had withe my weight painting.
if i have symmetry turn on and the area i am painting is not symmetrical then the computer does not know where to place the weights on the other side.
i will have to re bui...

well throw all that previous progress right out the window because the weights just went all crazy on me.
i could paint a shoulder and the thigh would have it's weight map changed.
so the way i seem to have fixed it, is by making polygon groups....then turning the program off and restarting it.
but i will proceed with cautious optimism
after several hours of weight painting i am finally getting the hips close to the correct weights. i see that i need a few more hours just in this area before i can consider it done, but it actually is looking like it CAN be done. were as with blender i never seem to get it right
and now up to the part i really like about daz rigging. the weight brushes give you a lot of control

yeah i just used 16 bones to give myself control over her nether region
ok so the rest of the body is properly named and symmetrical, now i have about 100 face bones to make XD
