Weekly Update

Nothing too crazy this time. As mentioned the focus for this week was getting the outline of the upcoming commissioned chapter out, then starting on the draft, that's where I've ended up, so things are ticking along to plan so far.

It's a chapter with quite a bit of sex but nothing else that should take too long, so I'm confident I should be able to knock it away in a few weeks or so. I'll set this week to try get the majority of it completed, which should get it in good position to be finishe...

Hi,

So! A successful update this week eh? Congrats me! Was a nice relief to get the second part of the Panne stuff out of the way. Perhaps not the most energetic sex scene around, I know some people were wanting to see them "fucking like rabbits", but in this case, I wanted to start things a little slow between them first.

Hopefully it was fun regardless.

I took a small break for the rest of the weekend, but I'll be back on track for the next chapter- which will be a commission, on...

Hi all,

So, after losing most of my Friday evening on a work function, I wound up getting sick and spending most of my weekend (when I do the majority of my writing) sleeping, sneezing, sniffing and more sleeping.

Writing with your head dazed or pounding isn't very useful, so I didn't get a whole lot done.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I'm fairly sure I had a very similar update on the previous chapter too, so maybe I'm getting sick more often recently?

I had intended to get this chapter out before the change of the month. I didn't manage that, but things are fairly well ordered at this stage. I'll aim to have it done over the next few days, finalised to publish by the weekend. That's the target at least!

Weekly Update

Steady progress on the coming chapter. Nothing too exciting to talk about just yet, but it's coming along decently and I'm hoping to pick up the pace a little this week so I can start looking at an ETA. I want to have it released at a good time this time, rather than dragging along, so we'll see.

There's gonna be (as an estimate) about 10 scenes total in this coming chapter. Obviously the length of each one is variable, some longer and some shorter, but I've currently got through 3 of them and...

Weekly Update

Phew! Pretty decent week and fairly busy weekend.

I've now got about 7,000 words written on Chapter 15. Notes, outlines, quick-scene drafts and such. Everything's pretty much in place, just a matter of getting it all written and looking good.

I mostly mention this because I thought that might be something interesting to think about, for a chapter that'll likely end up being about 25-30k words, that's almost a quarter as much just on notes and things I need to keep track of as I go throug...

Moving straight into Chapter 15!

Not a whole lot to reveal so far, I've got the basic plot outline worked out, so I'm looking to have that cemented by tomorrow and to start writing following that. Hopefully, obviously, gonna be aiming to have it out a LOT faster than the previous chapter (man that dragged on, didn't it?)

Should be able to work in some favourites from the most recent poll, but so far it's looking like it'll start

One more day

Sorry. "Just needs one more hour or so of fixing up, I'll do that right after work and upload it" became two then more then, I've stayed up all night and need to get some sleep before work in a few hours.

I'm feeling sick of this enough that I was tempted to take a day off, but I doubt that counts as a real illness.

So! There's roughly 2000 or so words left to fix up. Then it'll be all done. So, tonight, right after work.

Hi guys,

Bad news first, obviously as you will have noticed, the newest chapter still hasn't gone live yet. I said I would have it done last week and I haven't, it's entirely on me, nothing specific came up, I simply didn't get as much done as I had scheduled. I even had a day off for a medical appointment that I spent mostly on writing, but still...

Good news is that I am still, largely, on track and should have an update for you soon.

Slightly (quite a bit) belated this time, I'm sorry! I actually entirely forgot I hadn't already done this until I was already on my way to work the next morning.

But! Things have been progressing well, I'm slightly further behind where I was hoping, I was aiming to have the writing finished up by now, but I should have that done by tonight or tomorrow, then just editing and it should be uploaded later on this week.

I've managed to make up most of the ground I lost last week when sick and I think I've got the major scope of this chapter sorted out now. It's taken long enough already (longer than I wanted at least) and (of course), it's bigger than I'd like it to be, but it's mostly coming together well.

I'm aiming to have the full scope finished this week and to finish editing/publish it by early next. So let's follow along with that goal!

Bit of a useless update this time sorry folks. In what has to have been the most ridiculously unfortunate timing ever, I managed to come down with a pretty nasty illness literally on Friday night. Meaning, pretty much my entire weekend was spent sleeping, wandering around in a headachy-daze, or drugging myself up.

I'm mostly back on my feet now (just in time for work, yay...) but I only managed to write a few pages before giving up, so progress was minimal.

Not a whole lot to say this week unfortunately, progress is ticking along, things have expanded a little more than I expected (as usual, a character monologues where my notes have them come to a fast decision, and 2 paragraphs becomes several pages... but it's character development! Gah!) but everything's still ticking along.

I should have a better idea of when I can get it uploaded this week at least.

Progress was a little slower than I expected this week unfortunately, but, a bunch of changes we've been implementing at work have just been completed, so moving forward things should, hopefully, be a little calmer.

I'm still working on completing the draft for now, the goal for that will be to have it either finished or mostly finished by this weekend, so expect good progress towards that. But there's still quite a bit to do.

And, I'm back on track, back working on A Change of Tactics. It's certainly been a while, hasn't it? Probably too long, I never expected to take anywhere near this much time working on commissions and other projects, but, ultimately, I am happy with how they all turned out, I think it's all been pretty solid writing and hopefully enjoyable for all of you.

The next chapter of ACoT will be quite different in some ways, we'll revisit some characters we've seen before but hopefully also move the p...

Weekly Update (Belated)

Phew, a massive relief this time, it's always a rush to get a story done and to be able to move onto something new. This one is probably even more polarising than my previous one, but I think it's actually turned out pretty good and I'm quite happy with it.

That's the last commission I'm going to do for now, I'll be back on track working on A Change of Tactics immediately. I'll take probably a day or two to re-read over it and refresh all the plot points I wanted to go over, and then will like...

Second Quick Update

One day turns into another and then another after that it seems...

Apologies everyone. It's frustrating how this goes sometimes, even when everything's done and there's only a little left to do, getting it right can take a few minutes or a few hours.

As an explanation: I spent about three hours today on a single scene, re-rewriting, deleting, editing, changing and re-writing again.

It probably seems rather ridiculous to do that, maybe even pretentious considering it's a sex-story a...

Really solid weeks work this time. The story is coming together very nicely, pretty much just two more major scenes to finish up and some minor fixes and it should be done.

Judging by how far through I am now, I'm aiming to have it wrapped up by this coming Wed, but we'll see.

Slightly unfortunate update this week. Due to some personal issues and being out of the office last week, I wound up with a lot less time to write than I was expecting- particularly over the weekend. So I didn't make as much progress as I was hoping for.

So I need to extend the deadline a little this time, basically take what I wrote last week and apply it to this week!

So I've got the pen and paper draft largely finished now. Looks pretty good, it's just gott'a be tidied up and transferred into text. There's still some quite a bit to finish and more to do, but hopefully I should have it largely finished up by this coming week.
