[TEASER] Deadly Moments - Avenging Crassus

I've attached a snapshot of the Battle of Mount Gindarus fought between the Roman General Publius Ventidius Bassus and the Parthian prince Pacorus as a part of the campaigns to avenge Crassus in the first century BC. Here we see Ventidius cleverly baiting the enemy to attack his camp on high ground and preparing his troops to sally out in a sudden assault.

History Today - The Monsters of Norse Mythology in God of War 4

We were able to sit down with James McMullen again for another awesome podcast about the medieval Scandinavians. This time we discussed the monsters from Norse Mythology which have made their way into the latest God of War game. You will also notice a significant improvement to the audio on his end thanks again to your support of the microphone we bought him. Check the episode out here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Upcoming Podcast on God of War 4

With the popularity of God of War 4 based on Norse Mythology, I figured we would sit down once more with James McMullen to talk about the historical origin of the enemies you fight in the game. The episode should be out in the next few days!

Microphone for Viking Podcast Guest

I have hosted several podcasts with James McMullen where  we discuss all things Viking related. While I love having him on, listeners have complained about his audio quality. I figured we would be able to use some of my personal and Patreon funds to get him a brand new mic! We can't thank you all enough for your support. I am sure this will make for much better videos in the future : )

We have a ton more content in the works on Roman Soldiers, Caesar, Mithradates, the Aztecs, and the Islamic Golden Age so stay tuned. For now, be sure to check out these latest videos.

Vikings in Battle

I recently heard about the Wolin Viking Festival in Poland. I'd love to be able to attend one day as the pictures alone look fantastic. For the time being I have been doing my own research on the equipment of the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons and have a video in the works using gameplay from Thrones of Britannia. Stay tuned for more news on that front soon.

How They Did It - Paying Taxes in Ancient Rome

I just released another casual style video, this time talking about the system of Taxation in Rome. Once again this particular series is not funded by Patrons as I use that money for the more in depth versions. Enjoy this one on the house.

Research on Anglo-Saxons for Documentary

With the upcoming Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia title coming out soon I decided to get educated on the time period. I am thinking of doing a documentary series on the campaigns of the Great Heathen Army. My main concern however would be that these more long form videos don't seem to get as much attention as Moments episodes (see Siege of Jerusalem). Is this something you all consider something worth pursuing at the cost of some delays to other Moments episodes?

This particular episode will NOT be a patron charge. Rather it is the specific reward requested by one of our top patrons to revive the series. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LywrNNgFVz4

We are working hard to fulfill the request of one of our "Custom Video Patrons" to cover the Nika Riots. These took place in 532 during the reign Emperor Justinian I in Constantinople. What started as minor outcry exploded into one of the most violent riots in the city's history with an estimated 30,000 being killed and much of the city destroyed.

At the moment these videos will not be charged to patrons so consider it some free, fun, filler content! If in the future I hire an artist and editor to help with production I may have to revisit this but as always I...
