Humans - Drone & Hyper

These are a couple of gift pics I did for friends.

The drone prefers to remain anonymous (as drones should be ;>) I don't think I've drawn that before, so that was fun to do for them. I wanted to turn them into just a huge hole which is something they like to be.

The other is a hyper human version of Metta who loves showing off! So they've got everything out on display

I wasn't originally planning a hero page here. But as I was sketching out the next several pages, I realized that having a shot like this really helps establish that everyone at the party is watching him. It also helps the following pages make a little more sense. And the timing works better with the rhythm of the previous and following pages as well.

I think I mentioned this before, but I intentionally made Quentin a rabbit because of the reputation they have for being horny. It was important that the character not only be okay with the casual sex in the world before he knows what's going on, but also be the sort of character who would want to take full advantage of it once he does. So now he can finally do that. x)

Back Update

I had my first physical therapy appointment today since I got the news that I'd broke my back. It went pretty well, with focus on trying to reduce the nerve pain in my leg and foot. The stress fracture was obviously a complicating factor but not the original cause of it.

As far as my back goes, I broke it so long ago that they weren't able to give me much info on what to expect from the healing process. The therapist said it's normally an 8 to 10 week healing process for that type of fr...

Corgi Sandiego

This is one of the other projects I've been working on lately. Bullsworth and Icefang are doing "Where In The World Is Corgi Sandiego?", a furry version of the 90's kids gameshow, for MFF this year. If you're going to the con, check it out!

I've done a few logos for them, as well as the titular character and the villain (to be revealed at the con). It was kinda fun to try and emulate the design and style of the show that I used to watch religiously as a kid. x)

Pulsar with Jewelry

I've had this idea for a while now of doing a pinup of Pulsar wearing jewelry. It plays into the whole 'pretty bird' mindset which is something birds like. :> Not that they need extras like this to look pretty, of course, but sometimes it's fun to dress up.

With the release of Procreate 5.4, they overhauled the brush engine and added hundreds of new brushes. So this idea was the perfect excuse to play around with the new brushes, and in particular the new brush blending settings.

I Broke My Back (Fortunately Not Badly)

Because I'm a crazy person, I spent several days modeling this intricately detailed frat house set piece in Blender, even though this is the only panel in which it appears. I thought it would be an interesting setting for reality alteration if there's a small group of people that knew something might have happened, but weren't sure, because whatever they did worked on them along with everyone else. Then there could be just one person who actually saw the changes, and the story would follow them...

This point marks roughly the half way point of the comic. I knew going into it that I couldn't keep the mystery up for the entire comic because not only would it be difficult to write the main character being confused and frustrated for 100+ pages, but it'd also get tiring for the reader. Perspective Shift Character Development Sketches
