Work went kinda smooth-ish.


1.. Spent 2 days on the boobies and belly bulge.

  • Tried one method to get the boobs simulated, but it was not behaving well at all, had to resort to good ol' skinning to have them working.
  • Making simulated stuff loop takes extra work. It's rather nice to work on a shot with a start and an end, but not in this case.. :D

 (looks real screwy, but it's enough for me to have as reference, no point wasting time on refining this)

Weak in the Knees

Weekly friday update time! Slow week, but it's ramping up hard starting next.

1.. Done a quick test to have soft body physics (rump area mostly). No good.. Way too slow and very unwieldy, requiring too much setup each new shot/scene. Maybe 4 hours spent.

2.. Sketched the poses for the animation. - Did a couple extra for the future. No peeking yet. ;D Don't want to ruin the surprise.

Hay!

Weekly update time!

1. Fixed up some color-related stuff in the rendering that bothered in the previous project.

2. The haybale was rather difficult to do fast, keep it simple, and not ugly. But managed to get rather alright results! Styled to heck, but it at least looks something like a haybale. It took away the most time this week to experiment.

3. Did the pitchfork in 3-3.5 hours. That was a nice pace.

4. Bucket. Again, a little over 3 hours including minor rigging....

Ok, trying to keep up a weekly update schedule with what's been happening (INCLUDING PICTURES, hopefully).

1. Been rather slow, but the little annoyances in rigs have been fixed.

2. In prep to a commission, did some more eye research and came up with some upgrades to own characters.

Apologies for being a bit quiet recently, took the time to untangle the mind, rethink schedule, in addition to:

1. Cleaned up the Rimjob project. Went from 140gb to 80gb.

2. Updated rigs a little by fixing some annoyances.

  • Still working out some more complicated quirks and upgrades.

3. Tweaked character materials.

  • Did some tests with SSS (sub-surface scattering), mostly on deer's ears. Decided the 15-20% extra cost in render times wasn't worth i...

Rendering

  • Taking far longer than expected. So far it's clocked to 99 hours minus 6 (crashed one night). Got some more ideas for optimization, but will try utilizing those in future projects.
  • Doing other things in parallel like compositing, continuity fixes.
  • On the better news - this project will certainly wrap up coming week!

Bull Rimjob Shot 5 Progress Update!

  • Locked down the FX late last friday, lookin' good! Don't wanna spoil it with a preview, but you will see the final (hopefully) at the end of this week. Quite happy with the outcome.
  • May be on track for the final cut and 100% project completion on (roughly) Tuesday or Wednesday next week.
  • After having finished this colossal project, will focus on smaller projects from now on and do larger ones in the far, far future if ideas allow.

New Year, New Opportunities!

I hope everyone had nice holidays and are keeping well!

  • Had the two weeks holiday, been back in action since Monday (4th Jan), working away on the FX. Doing more liquid R&D - it's incredibly tricky to come up with something that looks good and doesn't take weeks to create, AND works in a variety of situations. Came up with some hybrid solutions for now, hoping to make them look good in the end.

Also looks like the completion of the project will have to scooch over to early next month.

Bull Rimjob - Shot 5 Rough Animatic

It's an animated gif, should be playing.

Last week has been slow.

This one estimates 6.6s for now, that might be 7 days of animation. Of course, it's really rough, missing notes and certain small details that will be done during animation. It may also be a little longer in the end depending how animation works out.

My hope is to finish this whole project before Christmas, but it's a hoping as plans might change, or problems get in the way (FX being most concerning).

Bull Rimjob Scene 4/5 FX Update

Apologies for not poking my head out for two weeks, had plenty to read, learn, and test.


Things got very frustrating, finding out how a lot of methods have very limited uses or cost a lot in terms of setup/simulation. But there are a few cases where the few viable methods can be used successfully! So there's that.


Modeled, rigged, and animated the saliva by hand as that seems to be the most reasonable way to go right now. I may study more particle/fluid sims ...

Bull Rimjob Scene 4/5 Storyboard, Status

Already started working on animation, this was the initial storyboard for the scene.

In the future, I may do an entire animatic for better estimations on how long scenes should be.

This one estimating close to 5s animation, might be about 4-5 days, then might add some juiciness special FX, which might add 2-3 days extra given the need for tests - needs to look good.

Been contemplating next project, will definitely have to do something with the cowgirl; been neglecting her......

Bull Rimjob Scene 1 - Status

Was hoping to complete the scene by end of today, but missing maybe half a day to a day. Initial calculations for it were 12 days, given that this scene was a little over 6 seconds with two full characters to animate. Pretty close estimation! Only 1 day off.


The other scenes won't take so long, Scene 1 was the biggest of all 5 scenes, didn't anticipate it when tackling. But hey - most difficult part will be done!
