(NSFW) December 2017 Pic of the Month: Tetsuko vs. Red part 2

"FINISH HER, you pathetic BITCH!" yelled the Emperor.

With a glare of hatred in her eyes, Tetsuko turned toward the Emperor, shifting her trident to a throwing position. Then, with the power of a thousand men in her mighty right arm, she hurled the trident at the evil tyrant!

Red looked on in wide-eyed wonder - and not very pleased: this is not how things were supposed to happen!

November POTM - Titania vs. She-Hulk

And here it is, the finished Pic of the Month: the two Marvel comics arch-rivals trying a new method of settling their differences.

This is the second pic* I've done completely with Clip Studio Paint on my iPad Pro. I'm still impressed with what I can accomplish with this setup: some of this I've drawn during breaks at my job, some of it I did in bed before going to sleep - in other words, places and times that would ordinarily be "wasted" (in terms of producing my illustrations).

Back in July, I put out a Call for Requests for ideas for the Pic of the Month; got so many neat ideas I decided to do them all, each in a different month of course. This time, I'm using She-Hulk and Titania, "whether they be armwrestling, regular wrestling, comparing biceps, one-upping another, or whatever. ^^" As you can see, I opted for armwrestling.

I've tightened up the sketch for better inking; too many times I'll ink from the rough sketch such as the one I posted here just a few days ago, and wind up having to re-sketch out things like hands and feet. (It's a bad habit I'm trying to break.)

First Look: October Pic of the Month

So here's a preview of the October POTM - a rough (and I do mean rough!) sketch of Tetsuko taking on the men at a bodybuilding contest, and winning the title and the trophy!

Well, as you no doubt know by now, I've been obsessing over the team-up/crossover that "Pumpmonger", creator of Red the paladin, and I have been cooking up. I've been doing concept sketches, rough comics pages, and writing on a story.

That obsession is even spilling over into my other art. For example: that drawing up there started out as a little sketch I did on my iPad for my own "enjoyment" (*ahem*). I liked it so much, in fact, that I inked it. And then colored it.

In case you don't "watch" me on DeviantArt: I've recently become obsessed with a story that I'm collaborating with "Pumpmonger" on, that will unite my OCs Tetsuko and Sonya with his creation, the epic-fantasy warrior woman known simply as "Red".

Tetsuko and Sonya will be ripped out of their time, and dropped into a past of barbaric splendor and constant peril! There, they meet the flame-haired warrior Red the paladin and her companion, the ronin Keiko.

It will be an epic saga - ...

Janet and I made it through; the house is intact as far as we can tell - haven't been able to check the roof yet, but we haven't found any leaks - and amazingly, we still have power and internet!

Well, I'm back!

Myrtle Beach was fun; but it took longer to get there than I anticipated, so we only had one full day there. (I was hoping to get about a half an afternoon before and the morning after as well.)

As so I didn't get any of the August Q & A video shot during the visit like I hoped I could. (I know, you're all shocked.) So now that I am home, the video shoot and editing happens tomorrow, and if all goes well I'll have it posted tomorrow night (Sept. 2) or Sunday. 

Destination: Myrtle Beach!

Tomorrow (Aug. 30), Janet - my wife, not Satin ;) - and I will be hitting the road for sunny (I hope!) Myrtle Beach SC.

It's part of our celebration of our 40th wedding anniversary (the actual day of which was this past Sunday the 27th). This will be the first trip we've taken in a while that didn't involve visiting friends or relatives, so it'll be interesting to see what we'll do when it's just us! (Don't worry, we'll think of something IYKWIMAITYD*.)
