Well this last weekend did not go in the direction that I expected, that’s for sure, but what a weekend! Having a gap in commissions, I decided to do a long overdue revamp of my mini TF formats and got a Betty and a Daphne sequence knocked out from start to finish! That made me happy for sure, even if some other projects only got picked at a little. In spite of finishing those things up I do have some things to share!

Revisiting the four stage headshot TF format as a commission option with a new look. This is at 600 dpi--the image I drew it. Final commissions would probably be 450 DPI and 300 dpi. And yes, there will be a "with text" option. More to come!

The client from this commission encouraged me to share WIP images so I thought I’d do a quick update. Over the weekend I got the inking, coloring, and detailing done on this project. Well, we had to dip into the wife's suggestion box again for this week. Still, they don't come much cooler than Goliath from Disney's Gargoyles! Anyone familiar with this show from the 1990's If not and you have Disney+, I strongly recommend watching the first two seasons. Update 6/14/23: Apologies for the repost but I woke up to find out this morning that the artist whose work was a reference for this piece just passed away at 93.
When George Perez passed away, I said I liked him because to me, with his attention to detail, his rendering of the characters was how they and their world really looked, and all other artistic styles (including Alex Ross, whose work shows what the characters might look like in our world) were interpretations of that.

Next month we‘re going to be working on giving Megumi Raymond aka Queen Kaiju a proper introduction.
