I will likely return to them later in the future to possibly improve the particle effects/sounds but for the moment being, all 3 essence of rememberance heat actions are complete! considering going back to desperados heat actions and finishing them

The plan is to give these heat actions one for each style when you are locked at enemy on critical health. You will be able to increase its damage by button mashing

Nothing much to show right now since i'm working on upgrades for Kiryu and Ichiban (what abilities unlock when etc...)
To that end, what should i do for Kiryu's upgrades?

I find designing jobs to be stressful (since there is so many of them) so i'm sticking to perfecting the players again for the time being. I dont remember if i have shown Kiryu's double quicksteps yet but i did add this new heat action which i'm sure you are familiar with

I routinely get people asking me to replace to with Recieve You Tech Trance Arrange though so i was wondering how much of you want this

On very good news though, we are slowly reaching the point where there's fewer things to add to the mod which means the mod is just about to enter refining stage. I'm also gonna be working on my modding tools in the meanwhile which should indirectly benefit Like A Brawler 8 of course

Then i'll return to the ones that are promising and improve on them hopefully. This one is based on kenzan dual swords, i would like to keep the salt shaker heat action but replace its current trigger with something else so i'll see how i can make that work

2024-10-30 09:05:20 +0000 UTC View PostYou now get a pretty cool screen effect when you defeat a strong enemy just like in Judgment/Lost Judgment! I also gave Kiryu his finisher sound effects from Kiwami 1 although i may end up changing them in the future, unsure if its good enough yet

Movesets of Kiryu and Ichiban are largely complete, with just heat actions and visuals left to complete. Movesets and heat actions for jobs are not finished and have a long way to go but progress is being made on that end, i predict the mod will be fully released on January 2025 the earliest and around March 2025 at the latest
2024-10-21 11:48:18 +0000 UTC View PostThings are moving slow but steady, my attention is focused on heat actions right now, i'm aso updating Like a Brawler 7 on the side and making the combat better, trying to port combat features from it, great progress has been made including making Ichiban way more nimble, reintroducing perfect guards, and reducing stunlocks in the mod.

I recently made back attacks more powerful in the mod, allowing you to perform Yakuza 3 style combos on enemies, very powerful when performed on goons. I also made juggles longer lasting when performed on weaker enemies but thats an update for another day!
