Update - 27th Dec '20

First off, I completed all the work on the succufairies.  Version 0.014 of "House of Hellish Harlots" was released on the 25th and you can find it in the previous post.  I hope you enjoy it.

After that I got right back to it.  One of the things I'm keen to do is to keep chipping away at the harlot scenario 1st drafts.

House of Hellish Harlots ver0.014 (Succufairies)

Not sure if this is best day to release new dirty smut, but I suppose it's a present, of sorts... :D

Version 0.014 of House of Hellish Harlots is ready.

This is the succufairy release and adds four new harlot scenarios and switches player mindset over to fixed player disposition attributes.  I went over these in more detail in the previous posts, but here's a quick summary.

Notes on the New Player Disposition

House of Hellish Harlots v0.014 is doing away with Player Mindset.  That means you'll no longer be asked to mess about with the mindset grid before entering each harlot's room.

The reason for this is because the mechanic is a bit too much needless faffing around considering it only really matters for about a 3rd of the harlots.

There will still be some form of player mindset, but it is now player disposition and consists of attributes set at the start and then fixed for the r...

House of Hellish Harlots version 0.014 is progressing nicely.  There's a decent chance I might have it out sometime next week.

The player disposition revamp is done.  I've removed the annoying table.  All existing harlots have been updated.  That should be ready.  More on that in a separate post next week.

More progress on House of Hellish Harlots.

Player Mindset is being revamped to Player Disposition.  These will be fixed attributes generated at the start to represent the player character's personality.  Once this is done, players won't have to mess around with that player mindset grid every time before entering the room.

Update - 6th Dec '20

To my surprise, I did manage to get version 0.013 of House of Hellish Harlots out on the very last day of November.  I hope you all enjoyed the new harlots.

After that I had to concentrate on some real life stuff I'd put to the side while racing to get ver0.013 out, namely file my taxes for the year.  Fun!

What Next for House of Hellish Harlots

This was originally going to be "The 3 Next Things for House of Hellish Harlots".  Then I remembered how much of mess I got into trying to force the sexy snek release through.  So, I think it's better if I leave the updates to Things That Have Been Done, rather than announce some plans and then get into productivity difficulties when I get stuck and start panicking.

Version 0.013 of House of Hellish Harlots is ready for release.  I managed to get it finished in time for the end of the month after all.

This release introduces 3 new harlots to the House:

Sorpresa Ombra - A lamia that likes smothering men with her boobs.

Zuripai Suponji - A large succubus that gives a full-body paizuri service.

Cibi Somnia - A sleepy sheep girl that likes to cuddle and give relaxing...

Ver0.013 of House of Hellish Harlots is not far away.

I did have a slight unpleasant surprise when I caught up with the Sorpresa Ombra scenario and realised that while I'd implemented all the text, I'd not implemented her Bad End checks or scoring.  I rectified that and then tested the scenario to make sure everything is fine.

Update - 22nd Nov '20

Just a shortish update as I've had other things on the go this week.

As per the poll, Big Paizuri Succubus and Sheep Girl are the two scenarios going forward for the 0.13 release.  I'm currently typing up the Paizuri Succubus scenario.

For the 1st drafts, I finished the Ass Succufairy first draft.  That took me longer than expected and after finishing I looked back and saw I'd written about a short story's worth of material.  That's a little too long for CYOA game p...

I was a bit boomery and neglected to put an end date on the last poll.  I did say I'd check at the arbitrary time of when I wake up on Thursday morning, so here we are.  The results:

Currently I'm still working on House of Hellish Harlots scenarios.  I finished off the succufairy scenario and got to work on some new ones.

I plotted out 5 scenarios that might have promise.

This week I went back to working on House of Hellish Harlots.  Rather than try to pick up the old scenarios I went for a fresh start and started on some new ones.  How did it go?

Ideas File - The Interdimensional Arachne Brothel

I was catching up on reading the "Interspecies Reviewers" manga recently.  If you're not aware of it, it's a comedy series where a group of fantasy adventurers go around reviewing monster girl brothels rather than the usual fantasy-world adventuring stuff.

I ended October getting "The Subway Succubus" out.  Hope you enjoyed it (even if the ending was a little nasty).  I also posted a behind-scenes look at the story for people that like that sort of thing.

Currently I'm back to working on "House of Hellish Harlots".  The main bottleneck on that appears to be writing the first draft of the harlot scenarios, so I'm looking at ways to fix that.  One plan I have is to go back to the original idea and simplify the scenarios....

Behind Scenes - "The Subway Succubus"

First up, as I suspected would happen, "The Subway Succubus" did get bounced by Literotica for being a little too nasty.  At least that lessens the blow of failing to finish it in time for the Halloween competition.

Well that was another deadline gone whizzing by.

I was hoping to be able to put the foot on the gas and get both out before the end of the deadline.  Sometimes that works and I have a couple of frenetic days and get there.  Sometimes I put the foot down and the engine coughs, splutters and dies.

This week was more short story writing for the ongoing Literotica competition.  I thought the bonus story would be quick, but another succubus decided she wanted to play with her food.  I was worried it was starting to get into that low productivity drag near the end that seems to affect most of my short story writing nowadays, but I was able to drag the first draft over the finish line during the week.
