128 - Entrance to the Far Realm

Good day valiant travelers. A Naive mage has tried to summon an entity from the far realm and failed. She was tricked by a powerful being who managed to open a rift to the far realm. The creature also took control of the mage and now aberrations and unknown horrors are coming in from the terrible plane.

That's a synopsis of the attached adventure idea. It includes specific ideas for encounters and the background lore off how this mess came to be.

Welcome to the new subscribers, you guys ...

About commissioned maps rewards

Hello. this is a message for my patrons and supporters in the 5 and 100 dollar pledge level. Part of the rewards is a commissioned map every time you hit the amount of $40 USD, but with a max of 1 per month.

If you're in this level, let me know about any ideas for a dungeon or settlement you'd like to have illustrated. I'm trying this method of a public post instead of private messages because I haven't had much response doing that.

So shoot!

Here's the .psd file for the 127 - The Hillfort of Ashben. Notice that it is necessary to have Photoshop to use it. Inside you will find that it is all white. That is the uppermost layer, I only use it to make the file preview smaller in size. Once you remove that uppermost layer you'll see the illustration. (it's just one click)

Most of the illustration elements are properly named and arranged in folders in the layer area. Some assets like textures or smart objects have...

Good day my friends, patrons and followers, Denizens of the Tower.

Here's the Hillfort of Ashben, a fortified settlement build on a hill, it features two dry moats and a wall. The place is not currently being used as a fortress, but rather a fortified farming town.  The illustrations features a side-view map which explains the layout of the moats and how the place looks from the side.

Map 125 - Dwarven Fugitives

Hello my friends, it's my pleasure to show you my latest add to the collection. Here's a dwarven temple of prayer. A group of dwarf smugglers are hiding here from the city watch. They know the watch won't go after them in the temple because of public opinion. But nothing stops the city watch captain from hiring some adventurers to do the dirty work.

They can enter through the temple's front doors or through a ventilation complex. Let's just hope they are not ambushed by undead dwarf guardians....

Collaboration Project II - The Dark Fortress

Hello my friends, the time has come for the second collaboration project. This is the Dark Fortress, an abandoned castle with an undead infestation, there are two levels, look for the other illustration in the Drive Document.

Just like last time, pick a room and write whatever you wish to be in there. The undead theme is not a complete constrain and not every encounter should be a fight encounter. Let imagination fly. If other people have written stuff for adjoining areas, you should read what...

123 - Ruins of Tal Nareth

A bit of an oddball here, but the start of a great project. I am currently doing a joint effort with the guys at Nights of Qualara. NoQ is a system-less campaign setting that hosts many different types of games, it is also a living campaign ala Living Greyhawk, only not tied to any system.

They are creating adventures and I'm helping with map illustrations. This is the first in the current story path. The Ruins of Tal Nareth, I won't spoil more of the fun, you can find a teaser of the lore her...

122 - Abyssal Engine

Good Day Denizens of the Tower, I'm moving to another city tomorrow, So I'm publishing the last two maps of the month today, I might be away for a week.

Following a recent trend, this illustration comes with a short story that explains how a young mage stroke a deal with a fiend lord, sealing a pact, very much like a D&D warlock. I'd love some opinions on that particular story if any of you reads it and likes it, or dislikes it.

As usual, I included a Roll20 version and black and whi...

Good Day my friends, Denizens of the Tower ! We're getting closer and closer to christmas! I hold nothing but good wishes to you all as the end of the year approaches.

Here's the second part of the sewers adventure. The first part was map 120 . As you can see, the bottom of the pit in 120 is the top left of this illustration. A continuation of the same underground complex. In the attached PDF file you can read a short story I wrote that explains the other side of the story, the sahuagin's poin...

Good day my friends and supporters. This is part one of a sewers adventure. this is a 165 ft. deep pit that goes down into the sewers collection system of  a big city.  The attached adventure is about a band of Sahuagin shark worshippers who have taken over the place to set up a prison for their own sea tribal wars.

There's now way adventurers will get out of this one smelling nice and clean. Be ready for the next installment of this  drain adventure in a few days.

Back to business, here's an underground archmage's library. It has a teleportation circle and some signs of disarray, like it was broken into or something. There's variants with no grid or labels and a roll20 ready version.

Our next collaborative dungeon !

Hello my friends, around two months ago I summoned you all to help create a dungeon. A lot of folks participated and we created "The Lost Halls", it was all good and fun.

Now I want to do this again, a lot of folks missed the announcements or did not have a chance to participate so let's do this again. Last time there was no boundaries or guidelines on what to write in the rooms. The end result, while good, lacked cohesion and an overlaying theme.

So this time I'd like to suggest some di...

117 - Well Hideout

Good day my friends ! Denizens of the Tower.

Here's a map the way I did a lot a few months ago, with isometric and topdown view. This is a hideout, warehouse or lair hidden down the well shaft. Perfect for a band of thieves or criminals, I believe this is best used with critters that could easily climb up and down like tabaxis or any other with climbing abilities.

The well goes down 60 ft. to an underground pond, two storage rooms are built from the ground itself.

I'd also like to ...
