And here we are, the penultimate week for Pages of the Alternomicon!

This turned into a delightful little project. A small daily dose of monster and designs for a project that's too huge for me to tackle right now on the scale I'd want to. I really should compile all the lore I've been writing about these Demons into one space for reference. Ooh- maybe as a small bonus for when Maxwell and the Alternomicon gets its release.

Art of the Week! October 25th

And here's one of the biggest commissions I've had to work on in recent memory! A full kaiju scene! +www+ With even a little background detail, not a full illustrated background, but enough to sell the scale and a lil' extra bonus destruction. Fun fun fun!

But, between that and Halloween prep- I didn't have much time for other things. I did a little doodle inspired by Jekyll and Hyde. But, that's all I have for non-project related drawings this week!

Maxwell and the Alternomicon: 100-106

Maxwell and Bal get a moment to breathe and regroup after that encounter with Toti... unfortunately unaware that Toti's just raised the stakes!!!

I'm not sure about the pacing for these pages- I remember reading in Araki's book that the character must always be moving forward even when beaten down. And I "think" that's what I did here- by having Maxwell figuring out how to use his magic to undo transformations. But... not sure. But even if he wanted to take some time to train more-

Pages of the Alternomicon: 11 - 17

We've got another gaggle of monsters of all shapes and sizes this week! Including introducing a new Demon Shape, the Abstract!

All of these Demons have multiple forms, depending on their power level or their personality. Some of them like Bal the Balloon Demon, may stay in Imp form for the majority of the time. While others may stay in their human guises- even hiding their eyes or horns to blend in. But all of them have all five of the shown shapes. And possibly even more.

Maxwell and the Alternomicon: 93 - 99

Holy moly has it already been a hundred pages!?!? When did that happen??

I think that one of the biggest lessons I'm learning from this is that I don't have the best estimate on how many pages I need/want to use for my comics. I feel like I'm not rushing... but am I taking it too slowly? Is not enough happening per page? But I am glad that since this is a daily challenge- I don't have the time to overthink stuff like that. Can keep going full marathon to the next pages.

It's that time of week again! Art posting day!

And today I've got a couple commishes and a graphite doodle for y'all! Cause it's Canadian Feast Day weekend, I've been trying to get some comic work ready ahead of time so I can focus on cooking. So I don't have as much to post.

In this week's update, Bal redeems himself in the eyes of Max. Facing his inevitable defeat with dignity, while Toti's pushing her luck.

Because I have no self control. I've decided to do a quick daily draw series this month for Halloween! Brainstorming and designing more Demons that could be from the Alternomicon!!!

With the exception of Bal-Luna and Toti-Ana, these are all just concepts. They're not finalized designs and are just for funsies. (To show off what I may do if MatA explodes)

Maxwell and the Alternomicon: 79-85

I think that Maxwell jumped the gun a little on his Shonen Protagonist power of friendship speech. We haven't even had a climactic fight scene yet!

Toti is not moved- you better have a good backup plan Max!

There's now officially less than a 100 pages left in this crazy daily comics challenge I took upon myself! And we're now past page 80 for Maxwell and the Alternomicon, my original page goal. (The new goal is 120... uh... we'll see if I can do that.)

Language Dailies 3: The Rest of the Colours!

And here are the rest of the major colours! The grayscale and some extra shades I hadn't done yet.

That's pretty much all the main colours. There are other colour terms, and I've got my speculation on how "light" or "ish" colours are (you know, like yellow-ish or light blue) But, I think I'm done with colour for now.

I'll be looking through my dictionary to decide what I'm going to do next. I'm thinking weather. >:3

Iiiiit's posting time again! And this week, I've got a bunch of stuff! Some more busts, another blueberry, some war stars OCs!!!

Okay that was more dramatic than I expected to be, Toti really raising the stakes right away!

But, why are Demons such a danger? Why did Denise seal them away? Toti's happy to give up some exposition on her... theories... as to why.

I for one, welcome our demonic overlords. Sounds much more interesting than a 9-5.

Language Dailies 2: Rainbow and Pink

As I said in my other post, this was a rough week. So, I decided not to get on my own case of not doing these every day. But I still managed to get two!

I'm trying to decide what I'd want my future language books to look like. Not like these, these are just little funsies doodles to try to teach myself stuff. I'd want any future books to have a different aesthetic.

Weekly Drawings Sept 13th: (Light Horror)

With commissions being open again, I'm getting more varied drawing done again! I'm slowly figuring out how to combat... whatever's going on with me right now. Regular breaks and a meditation nap is helping a lot. I'm feeling more productive in shorter time again. So I've got some fun round things for y'all this week!

The plot thickens and the fanservice ramps up this week, as Toti-Ana singles Maxwell out and sets some wickedness in motion. Kiiiikikikiki~

And once again, I'm actually not sure how many pages this comic is going to be. I've got the start of the climactic confrontation set up in my brain. But. . . how long it will be and if it has enough OOMPH, I'm not sure yet. We'll see!

It's time for some drawings of the week!!! And, I don't know if I'm hitting my stride yet or not. I'm trying out a new work habit, to see if I can help get some focus back. It seems to be helping a bit, I've even finished my work before 11pm a couple of times. But, there's only so much that can be done to mitigate stress in these times. I've been really going ham on Bal's expressions lately- he's so much fun to draw especially when he's being goofy X3

Sketches of the Week~ Aug 23rd

It was another slow week for anything except the comic, sorry peeps.
