Food Resprites

Started respriting some food items since I was done working on UI stuff for a while. These were a lot of fun, still have a ways to go but I'm looking forward to the rest!

Rappenem's Reforge | Patreon Download

In this post you'll find the download to the most up to date version of my main Minecraft texture pack project: Rappenem's Reforge!

Download Instructions:

1/ Install the file attached below and unzip it onto your desktop

2/ Open Minecraft, then go in settings --> resource packs --> open packs folder

3/ Then just drag and click or copy and paste the pack into the folder!

4/ Enable it by clicking the right arrow icon that shows up when hovering above the pack image, and click done (note that if you have other packs and you want RR to override their features, make sure that it's first in the list of active packs).

The following mods are needed in order to have access to all of Rappenem's Reforge's features (like the custom armor models among other small things)!

1. ETF

2. EMF

3. Fabric

4. Fabric API

PS: If you're having any issues, and certain parts of the pack like the armor models aren't displaying correctly, you can make a post in the #pack-discussion channel of my Discord server and hopefully we can get it figured out!

UI progress

This is a lot more work than I thought lol, I always forget how many different health bars the game has 😅 But I'm having a lot of fun with it so far! And I kind this while sprite sheet to be quite satisfying 😌

Basic UI Resprites

Starting to work on respriting GUI elements, which is something I'm looking forward to a lot with this project! I always enjoy making UI/UX stuff :D

Also staying at 16x resolution instead of going higher like with my item sprites because I'm starting to realize that that's a lot easier for the game to handle. Might end up starting from scratch with the items and go back down to base game res since 24x24 is seeming pretty unoptimized for the game now that I'm getting deeper into the pack...

Resprites N°2

Got some more resprites done, not the flashiest items but I'd like to spread out all of the juicier sprites over time to keep things interesting!

Pretty happy with the netherwart, firework rocket and kelp sprites, although I'm now noticing that the rocket looks a bit odd when used lol

I'm making a texture pack!

Alright fine, I’m officially making my own Minecraft texture pack ✨

So a few weeks ago I made these higher res item resprites (24x24px) and people really seemed to like them, and after getting so many texture pack requests I’m finally giving in… 

For now I plan on making the pack Patreon-exclusive, and slowly start adding a few sprites at a time every month. And Patreon supporters will help me choose which sprites I tackle at the beginning of every month! 

And once I make a significant jump in the amount of new content I’ve added to the game, I’ll make it available to the public for free on Forge! So Patreon members would always get the most up to date version, but a free version without everything would always be available and I would update it over time as well!

(Currently only planning on respriting items, UI elements and perhaps blocks. Entities would be a little too much hassle for now so those will have to wait)

So if you guys would like to help me make this super high quality pixel art texture pack a reality, you can support me here :D It’s not up for download yet since there’s still some small stuff I need to tinker with, but it’ll be available in a few days.

Pixel Eyes ✨

Saw this post on Twitter a few weeks ago where someone made a pixel/digital art mix that I found really interesting, so I though I'd try out the technique!

Ended up going with some thing higher res than the OG artist's drawing, which makes the effect a bit more subtle, but I'm honestly very happy with how it turned out :D

Also can anyone guess which character I drew here :P

I now have a Discord server! I'll be using it as a kind of addon to the stuff I'm doing here on Patreon, and also as a community art server!

It's gonna be Patreon-only for a bit while I figure things out, but I'll be making it public soon!

Apple Crab 🍎🍏🦀

Apple crab? Crab apple? Whatever you want to call it, it's here in all it's glory!

Had a lot of fun with this one :D I tried to make these guys look more like crab apples than regular apples for a while before realizing that they just look the same lol.

Also for those who noticed I made a new signature! I wanted to remake it since I recently changed the design of my avatar, and while it's subtle I wanted that to be reflected in my signature :P (also I thought it would be nice to have a custom font instead of the default one I used). What do you guys think?

Just some more anatomy practice, not even gonna post this on my other socials since I don't think many people are interested in seeing it lol, but I was decently happy with how these turned out, I had a good flow that day I guess.

Emoji Snakes 🤔🥰

Just finished one of my sillier drawings in recent times lol. Decently happy with how it turned out, though I spend way longer on the emoji part than I care to admit...

I'll post the timelapse showing my process for those this weekend, but man it was super challenging which I didn't expect at all, and in the end I'm still not very happy with how that part ended up looking since while the emoji itself follows the form of the snake's body, the "pixels" themselves don't :/

Crab shack?

Random drawing I worked on last week that I'll never finish, don't even remember how I got the idea lol.

Also you'd be surprised how rarely this happens to me, as in starting a drawing and not finishing it. I think it's because I'm just to content pilled and don't like wasting drawings cause I need a steady supply of stuff to post on social media 😅 Might not be such a good thing artistically speaking but oh well

Wood gun!

Found this really fun image on Reddit and since I've already done something similar for the wood/ice swords (if you remember those), the decision to turn it into some designs was an easy one!

I don't do gun designs very often at all (more of a sword guy myself), but I actually had a lot of fun with these! Some stuff happened and I lost the file after overwriting it which sucked, but I was still able to get the drawing done in the end so it's fine :P

Anyways let me know what you guys think about these, and which one's your favorite :D

Wood gun WIP!

Trying to challenge myself by taking a break from silly food animals to make some fun gun designs! I'm used to designing swords and other classic weapons, but not so much guns, so I've been having a lot of fun with these so far (especially since they're more biological in nature)!

Let me know what you guys think of these so far :D (still don't know what kind of rendering style I should go with tho)

New Profile Pic!!

Been meaning to keep going with my somewhat yearly tradition to redraw my avatar, and since I've been getting a lot more into digital lately, I thought it would only be fitting to make a digital art version! Still wanted to keep references to my pixel art tho so I made the face a screen with a little pixel art display :D

I also completely redesigned it compared to my previous one, since my art style/vibe has also evolved over the past 2 years :P

I'm not changing my pfp just yet, I want to do that at the same time that I reveal the art on my socials, but you guys get to see it early! Anyways let me know what you guys think!

This one took a little while to get done since I initially went a completely different direction with the design/style, and then after several hours of work, realized that it looked uber bad so I started from scratch lol :P

Doesn't happen super often luckily, but it always is a bit painful. Anyways pretty happy with how the final version turned, what do you guys think?
