RR v1.7 - Preview 1 🐌🐬

Since I did the beacon power resprites last update, I thought I'd might as well do all of the other mob effects as well! Took a bit longer than expected and ended up being quite a detour, but I'm really happy with how these turned out :D

Also resprited the containers while I was at it, and even though this isn't the biggest bang for my buck in terms of how many players will see these, it was a lot of fun to work on!

Patreon changes❗

As I talked about previously, I've gone ahead and made a change to how the tiers work by merging the former Pixel Wizard and Pixel Archmage tiers into one tier (which is now the Pixel Archmage tier).

So basically all bonus content is now available in a single, 5€ tier. Lowest tier has been renamed to Pixel Wizard.

Not too familiar with making these kind of changes, but from what I can tell everyone who used to be in the former 10€/month Pixel Archmage tier are still subscribed until the next time Patreon updates the monthly charge, in which case the membership will be cancelled (as it no longer exists) and you'll have to manually re-subscribe to the new Pixel Archmage tier.

As for the Discord roles, normally things should have been updated correctly with the right roles/permissions being automatically reassigned, but of course if you're having issues on that end let me know and I'll do my best to fix things!

Potential upcoming Patreon Changes

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you guys a heads up that I'm currently rethinking some aspects of the Patreon and the way I structure pack-related rewards in general.

Nothing super concrete so far but next month I'll be experimenting with merging the Pixel Wizard/Archmage tiers into one tier with all of those rewards combined in order to simplify things, and because as things stand I don't feel like I have enough rewards to offer to merit 2 distinctly priced tiers.

May also be accompanied by aesthetic changes, idk haven't figured it all out yet but just to let y'all know before making any changes.

RR v1.6 - Preview 3 ⚙️

New set of tools were just added so you know what that means, more fun resprites! Always love making tool/weapon sprites and these were no exception! Has a lot of fun with the shaping and even tried playing into the steampunk vibe a bit by adding a "gear" to each tool.

Gonna wait a bit for the armors since I have some potential reworks planned but for now I think these turned out pretty great and I hope you guys like them as much as I do :D

Felt like it's been ages since I've made item resprites, forgot how fun they were to make. But also though, the trial keys especially were really hard to make at this resolution. And I'm still not 100% sold on them but I like the direction they're heading in.

Had a lot of fun with the blinking birch last time, and while I decided to relegate that feature to being a Patreon exclusive, I still wanted to use the idea somewhere in the main pack and the pale oak logs seemed like the perfect place!

The blink is still kinda wonky on the edge of blocks because of the way the tiling works which is something I'll probably address in the future, but for now I think this showcases the concept well enough ^^

RR v1.4 - Preview 2 🐲💀

Been working on these for quite a while but I think they're finally done! Making custom and better looking boss bars is something I've been wanting to do ever since starting RR, and I'm honestly really happy with how they turned out :D In the end I had to make use of both lang files and core shaders (if it sounds complicated, that's cause it is lol), which required help from some fellow pack creators.

I know some will find them to be a bit too much but let me know what you guys think!

PS: In the future I'd like to make a tutorial on how to make these things, is that something y'all would be interested in?

Reforged Visuals 1.1 Update 🍎✨

Been so busy with RR lately that I haven't gotten around to updating the visuals mini pack. This isn't much but I've gone ahead and added a alt sprite for the enchanted golden apple!

I'll try to focus more on updating this as well as some of my other mini packs in the future, but for now this is all I have sorry ^^'

RR v1.4 - Preview 1 ⚔️🪵

Amor stand compatibility with my custom armor models has now been added. Was surprisingly complicated since I had to make a whole new model as well as figure out some Blockbench shenanigans, but I'm pretty happy with the final result!

Btw if you're wondering how to get a armor stand with arms, you have to type this command while in creative: /summon armor_stand ~ ~ ~ {ShowArms:1}

I could make it possible in survival with custom name tags, but that's not something I've gotten to yet so it's gonna have to wait sorry. But I am working on it!

RR v1.3 - Preview 4 🦾⚔️

This is a big one! So I've been working on these for a while but they're finally ready! After making the item sprites for the armors in 1.2, I knew that making the models that actually show up on the player match would be a challenge. So I went ahead and spent 3 days straight leaning how to make custom armor models using ETF/EMF to make everything look like what I had envisioned!

And while there's some stuff I'll be changing and they're far from perfect, the armor is for RR is now done :D

So as I mentioned some small mods are now needed in order to properly load the armor models, which introduces the first dependencies to RR. It's something I'd like to limit as the pack grows, but it's sometimes necessary in order for me to achieve my vision for certain things.

Here's the download to ETF/EMF (both are needed) as well as Fabric (and it's corresponding API) which is going to be my mod loader of choice going forward! Also the pack has now been updated to 1.21.6! (so make sure to download all of these mods for that version, and in the future keep them updated for things to work a intended).

Got some more silly item resprite done for the Alternative Textures mini pack!

As a little reminder, this mini pack serves as a kind of DLC/addon for my main resource pack Rappenem's Reforge and adds more unique/out there textures for certain game assets as well as animated item sprites ! It can be used as a standalone pack, but of course it's meant to be used alongside the main pack for a more cohesive visual experience!

RR v1.2 - Preview 1 🟨🟦✨

Since I mainly have been focusing on items over the last 2 updates (made 150+ in two months lol), I'm gonna start doing more blocks now! Starting with some that I've always wanted to resprite, the main gem blocks!

Blocks are pretty interesting since I often can't go as crazy with the contrast/shine like I do with the items, as a certain level of subtly is required to make them look good in game in my experience. That being said since these are rare unlike grass /stone, I can afford to go a bit more wild with them lol.

Alt item sprites!

Here's a little showcase of some item sprite variations for the Rappenem's Alternate Textures mini pack which is part of the rewards for members of the Pixel Archmage tier or higher!

I'll keep adding to this mini pack as I continue to develop RR, and some of the alts will get weirder then these lol (just for example, some other ideas I have in mind are an enchanted gapple made of diamond, or making the golden helmet a crown).

RR v1.1 - Preview 3

After making all of the different tools, and since I already had most of the palettes/designs for the different ores figured out, I though I'd head straight into making all of the armor item sprites as well!

Now these are just the item sprites, the models that actually show up on the player are currently still the vanilla ones. But changing that is something I'm working on, I've already spent like 15h over the course of 3 days trying to figure it all out haha. But I now know how to make custom armor models so you can look forward to those soon :D

⚠️ Patreon Tier Reward Changes ⚠️

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a great day :D

I just wanted to let you know that I’ve made some changes to the reward structure. As you can see the tiers all still have the same name, price and are in the same order, but I've made some changes to the rewards themselves.

I’ll let you all see what some of changes are for yourselves (you can find more info on them in my About page), but the biggest change is that I’ve decided to not go forward with developing the 32x32 high res pack

It’s where the idea of me making a pack originally started, and something I was really looking forwards to making. But now that I’m 2 months into development of RR and have had a chance to think about it more, I think making a second alternate pack with much bigger/more detailed sprites was biting off more than I could chew.

I’ve replaced it with bonus content in the form of mini packs that I think you guys will still really enjoy, while now allowing myself not to be stretched out too thin in terms of workload which for the long-term and sustainable development of this pack will be VERY important!

Here's a quick summary of the different mini packs for each tier:

  • Pixel Wizard members get the Item Visuals pack which gives unique textures to some items that all share the same sprite in the base game (eg: goat horns, enchantment books, etc...).

  • Pixel Archmage members get an additional 2 packs: Alternate Textures which are different and more out there sprite variants to certain items/blocks and Animated Textures which adds some much needed movement to certain item/blocks!

Having just updated the rewards, there is currently no new content for some of these mini packs, but you can expect stuff for that very soon! And obviously, I’ll be adding to all of these different packs regularly from here on out!

Anyways that’s all I have to say for now, sorry for those who were interested in the 32x pack, I think it could’ve been really cool in concept, but just doesn’t seem very smart in the long run. I’m just one person after all, and I need to distribute my time very well if I want to be able to keep developing this pack for a long time to come. Hope you guys will understand, and just know that from now on there’s gonna be a lot more cool Patreon content coming your way!

All of the main tool/weapon sprites are now done! Had a lot of fun trying to make them all look distinct from one another, which was pretty difficult! It's not easy to make 5 separate hoe designs I'll tell you that haha.

Also tried to all give them different vibes/designs that should also match the armor sprites I'm working on!

Anyways here's the change log for that, download as always is available to patrons of any tier over in Collections -> Pack Downloads -> Rappenem's Reforge!

Hotfixes:

  • Made some small changes to pack.mcmeta folder (visual improvement in resource pack folder)

PS: Found out that sword directions are weirdly flipped (not a problem in vanilla since swords are all symmetrical), so had to make some last minute changes to the wood, stone, iron, diamond and netherite swords making it so that the light directions are flipped. This'll be fixed in a future update!

RR v1.1 - Preview 1

Got some new items done and also fixed some previous sprites for this preview!

Happy with how some of these turned out like the slime ball and goat horn, and I'm pretty proud of the idea to make melon actual melons :P (I realized they're not actually specified as being watermelons technically lol).

PS: The filled maps look a bit off because I didn't realize MC adds overlays as multiply layers, I'll have it fixed soon!
