Spell Seals: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

This was largely inspired by the idea of preparing for the unexpected with tedious labor and careful planning. Largely taking shape in an ode to classical prayer writs/seals and the classic Warhammer visual of writs on armor.

These should be a small play boon for caster classes that still prepare known spells during rest. I also included crafting rules for guiding players who want to make them.

Thunder Brothers: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Based off of the legend known as the Thunder Twins, who tossed fire spears and hurled boulders that would become lightning and thunder. Made with appreciation, and hopes to spread knowledge of these old tales.

These weapons are characteristically used by separate tribes, and the metal existed after smeltings techniques were introduced by Europeans. I almost went with a molded copper dagger, but I don’t think many had seen these ‘Tlingit Daggersâ...

This one was quite a bit of fun, starting at an interesting idea of how to get past guards and then evolving into a really interesting hook of how to stumble across guards.

Balanced with the Uncommon DC, it should be a fun little charm item for the DM’s toolbox. I added in the ‘sleight of hand’ in honor of the street magic nod it harkens back too. Admittedly, the pictured king turned out looking a bit like Bill Murray, and I can’t say I donâ...

Problem Solver: One-Sided.

This is another item that I had been waiting to take down to the studs and try again.

I always felt it had so much potential but the crunched timeline of creation played it a bad hand. So I took today’s warm-up and combined it with some redraws, this was the result. Cleaning up a bit of the Stunned language so it falls in line more with official content.

I think more of the intended effect shines through now, and it looks a bit prettier. As ...

I always felt it had so much potential but the crunched timeline of creation played it a bad hand. So I took today’s warm-up and combined it with some redraws, this was the result. Cleaning up a bit of the Stunned language so it falls in line more with official content.

I’ve been wanting to revisit this one for a while now. There are several reasons for that, however 9 months in since its initial creation it seems now is the time!

The visual of this item has always been so strong, with the aspects of a monster fully being adapted by an adventurer. A bulette after all, is a very underrated as far as icon D&D monsters go.

I just think it’s neat. I took some extra time with this over the past two days to really give it justice.

I really focused on the thought of a blinding item that gave a benefit, and the more I thought about it, the more little things began to pop through. I really like the idea of being able to reach out to a powerful entity.. on accident. From a table perspective, that is a gold mine for character growth and story beats to come!
