If I have your mailing address, you've gotten at least one postal-friendly postcard from me. If you've been around for a while, you've gotten several. I enjoy sending people something they can touch and enjoy, even if only while reading a brief sentence or two.

When you pause patronage, I still send postcards. I care about you as people and want to keep bringing you a little joy.

This act debuted in December 2008. Last Spring I was told it would be making an appearance at a huge show at a strip club in Chicago. I started rebuilding as we awaited contracts and details. The show fell through. We haven't done the number since I rebuilt parts of the costume. I still might rebuild more.

Last summer I shot with a new-to-me photographer. I like to shoot with new people from time to time because you never new when magic can happen, and I do learn new and interesting things about lighting, poses, shooting angles, hair tricks.

When I pay for professional images (versus collaborating with the photographer for mutual benefit), I typically get proofs to select a contracted amount of retouched photos (no blemishes or crazy hairs out of place) ...

Forever April

For those of you who have been around for a while, you might recall the day Mr. Snapper went sideways when we were supposed to shoot some content. First responders came over, saw my stairwell of show posters and crown nonsense, plus my fancy hair and makeup while I was wearing footie pajamas. I think I twirled tassels 15+ times in two hours. I also played the kazoo a few times, joined in the puppet singalong, and was a fantastic hostess.

With people getting their spouses to shave their heads and cut hair, I took advantage of Mr. Snapper's hands and had him learn how to roll my hair. If I'd used more hairspray, let the rollers get hotter and left them in until they were completely cool, I might've had a better hairstyle after the fact.

This morning I found an antibody test that was $153. I have asthma, so I'm at a slightly higher risk for complications than the average joe. Behind the Scenes - Wall of Pain

You're getting two BTS posts this month just for fun. :) I figure we can all use a distraction.

I shot with a local studio back in February, doing two different looks: 1960s dark bedroom and floral fun. I used their wardrobe instead of bringing my own, but that's another story.

This month has been fucked up, right? My gigs are cancelled and future gigs are uncertain. I'm still making money by day, so I'm one of the lucky ones. Once I slow down, I'm sure the shock of all of these changes will sink in!

I've been pretty quiet so far this month. Real life has its own funny quirks. I gave notice at one day job to take another and then landed myself an ugly cold. (I don't think it's coronavirus, but who knows.)

Tub Tales 02.09.20

I've really bitten off quite the chunk of things to do this month. We just got home from the Oklahoma City show yesterday. This Saturday I'm performing at Vixin Lounge. I have a vintage hair class Sunday (as a student). The following Saturday we open and close the latest burlesque murder mystery where I'm co-hosting and singing.

Oh, and I just took on another side hustle. ;) Never a dull moment!

Full Reveal - Meet the Beanbag

Remember that smut writing contest? Mr. Snapper and I landed second place and won a voucher that paid for most of the beast featured in this full reveal.

It's too big to drag onto a stage for performances and too awkward to get in and out of the car to take to venues. It's also too soft to offer much support for precise choreography.

That said, it's really comfy.
