Behind the Scenes 01.04.20

I'm constantly working to fill in gaps in my education. Even though I've taken lots of makeup classes in college and with other burlesque instructors, I was still mystified by the pinup eye. I could never get the perfect little catwing. That is, until I took a class with LaDonna Stein. She explained to me how to do the wing with my hooded eyelids. I'm pretty excited about it.

Tub Tales 12.27.19

Naked faced, which means all the freckles and smile lines (and blonde eyelashes so you can't see them). This is my post-workout look. At least I smell like a sugar plum fairy after the awesome bath bomb.

I did some decorating around the tub. I need to do more. I just have to figure out which mugs will work in this space and are unlikely to slip into the tub.

Behind the Scenes 12.21.19

Mr. Snapper and I opened up this year's Nearly Naked Nutcracker with our super-sexy duet. After years of doing this act, we figured we'd be somewhere in the second set, which is why I didn't curl my hair before heading to the venue. We had considered getting some dinner to eat before the show. Alas, we were up first which meant no time to digest before rolling around and getting handsy with each other.

What better way to recover from a long and late night hosting than to hit the studio and run an act for the next weekend?

I have dirty hair and too little sleep. We're both in random underwear instead of our show drawers. I also stepped on his tie and cracked a rhinestone with my shoe early in the act. Oops!

The very positive thing is that this act is so much in our blood that we've got it.

That's how it started. Two years ago I entered the Liberator Lusty Lit contest and placed third with only a week of voting. (They had my entry for about a month but missed it so I had to nudge and send it again.)

After a two year break, we're getting nearly naked again.

Nearly Naked Nutcracker was on hiatus last year, which was great because we needed the break. We'd been doing the show every Christmas since 2012.

We're back this year. We aren't hosting and stripping, just stripping together. Mr. Snapper and I haven't performed the act in two years, so we're going to head back to the studio to work out the kinks. Fortunately, we have all kinds of chemistry so I'm sure we'll nail it.

Full Reveal - Ass Painting Concept

I'm bare faced, bare chested and bare assed in this one. We pitched this concept to Kimber Fox for her "Butts on Legs on Feet" show to celebrate lower body fetishes. We had 10 minutes to create two paintings to auction off to the audience.

We had to test out all of the elements before taking it to the stage, so you get to see that process. (Enjoy Buster in the background.)

In a couple weeks, Mr. Snapper is dressing up like Bob Ross and painting my ass in front of a live audience. We will then press my ass to a canvas and auction off the completed ass print to help a friend raise money for her cancer treatment. I don't think anyone is shooting video that night, but I'm going to try to get some footage from the event.

I haven't figured out what to do with all of the stuff I no longer need. I have valuable costume pieces that I no longer wear and fabric I don't plan to turn into new garments. Of course, the value I see in things doesn't always match up with the value potential buyers would see.

Internet outages and surgery

Howdy!

Last night brought an urban tornado to Dallas! We’re okay and so is our stuff, but the internet is out. 🌪 I’m hoping it’ll be back by tomorrow.

I had surgery on my eyelids on Friday. Just one eye. I had a freckle and a bump. My optometrist didn’t want to risk future complications so I had them removed by a plastic surgeon. It doesn’t hurt today but I’m stuck wearing glasses for a few more days. (I’m horribly awkward and need laser eye surgery. I’ve been s...

It's dinosaur-eat-dinosaur world.

I'm still trying to solve the dinosaur. The biggest trick is going to be the costume.  I think that's going to be more difficult than movement.

I spent some time pacing the apartment in the raptor head, putting on something like a thinking cap. I may have to just put on the suit and move around in it, just to see if that helps me problem solve.

Autumnal

I have freckles on my shoulders. A summer of walking dogs in tank tops has only increased their numbers. There's no nearby nude beach for me to even out the coverage. The nearest nude resort is surrounded by woods and trails, which means I can't stretch out in the sun without fear of getting attacked by ticks.

I've been jogging on my trampoline lately. Having an injury makes it tough to get in enough physical activity to feel great each day. I'...

This week has been rough so we're revisiting prettier days. (Also, I got the image late last night.) My daytime hustle has been crazy, my side hustle has been really busy, and I haven't felt very inspired lately. I'm thinking that all that other stuff has been sucking my creative juices dry. A friend of mine shot short clips of one of my poolside go-go sets from Tiki Oasis. In the end photo, Bubbles von BonBon and Siggy Sauer (both of Dallas) flank me. I enjoyed dancing with these beauties.
