“Your family has arrived, your Majesty,” said the messenger.  “You gave instructions to allow them to freshen up first once they had arrived in the city, and they have done so.”  To Aodh’s side, Tanushree frowned, and the messenger must have seen it.

Working on commissioning some new art

I'm just dropping in to let you know I'm working on comissioning some new character art!  We might even get a battle scene or two this year. :)

Other than that, I'm pretty tired now--finishing up another Delvers 5 chapter.  These chapters are coming slow, but I should start speeding up once it actually starts warming up and feeling like spring.

Traveling for Jake's Story

Hey everyone!

I just recently traveled to Macon, GA and Melli kept me company.  I went so I could write about Jake's stories there with first-hand knowledge.  Google maps is a great resource, but there is no substitute for experiencing an area yourself as a writer.

These pictures are near a big lake right outside of Macon that sports some ridiculously beautiful waterfront houses.  We were in a park here, and you can see some of the crazy mansions in the background...

Jake's Story, ch 16

This chapter is 3-4 times longer than most other chapters in this book so far.  You'll understand why when you read it.

I'm going to finish up another Delvers LLC chapter and maybe an Engineering Ludus chapter before returning to Jake's Story.  This is only one chapter but it was a lot of work.  It's pretty dense in a way that I would not have been able to manage a few years ago.

Hey everyone, happy New Years! (almost)

Updates have been slow over the holidays while I've been spending more time with family and kind of learning how to take care of myself better again.  It's been a success!

Something kind of different

Those of you who have been following my work for a while might know that I struggle with seasonal depression every year.  Now that I'm aware of this, every year gets better as I learn to deal with it.  

My wonderful wife had been encouraging me to get back into visual art lately.  Drawing is something I used to enjoy, but I gave up over 10 years ago, basically after I'd been deployed to combat.  My art got really dark and wasn't making me happy anymore.

Status Update

Hey everyone.  

I hate to overpromise and underdeliver, but I feel like if I'm doing so, I need to eat crow and let everyone know why, keep you up to date on what is going on.

Before Thanksgiving I had family over and I wasn't really able to get anything done.  Then right after that I started feeling run down and depressed.  I think part of my funk was because of a brewing germ.

Well, I woke up today feeling like crap to the point I couldn't ignore it anymo...

I will be getting back to my full time work schedule after I recover from my food coma.

I've decided to take some of your advice and slow down a bit.  I'm still working, I'm just doing half days for a little bit while family is visiting me, probably until Thanksgiving.

November update

This is just a quick post to let you guys know where I'm at.

The laundry list of crap I had to get done this month is /almost/ finished.  I have kind of broken my promise a little bit to Melli to slow down...so we're compromising and I'm taking more time off starting yesterday.
