lake (bokeh brush)

Hello! I painted this a couple of weeks ago. The second drawing is my exploratory sketch, and I just ended up cropping it closer. It's actually been a decade or so since I've tried the bokeh effect, and I realized it'd go faster if I made a brush. Attached is the Photoshop brushes (sorry I don't make Procreate or CSP brushes) used in this picture. Stars Tiers will get a layered PSD of this, so you can see how I applied the brushes.

Please do not redistribute the brushes! It is intended to be for patrons and purchases only.

Jaime jams in colour

hello!! I inked and coloured the previous sketches of jaime doing her little dance! Sorry for the delay in rewards, I was dealing with a small flood in my apartment... just life things lol

Neon commission

I've just been doing Yugioh card art LOL... this set was commissioned by the same company as the last. They're going to be printed on double-sided metal cards, plated in that indigo background colour and then silk screened. I made two versions just to satisfy my own needs for glowy things LOL

Sorry that I can't post larger versions of these ;-; my client apparently suffers from a lot of stolen art for their company merch. The background motifs were actually created by my client, and edited by me!

Colours

Hello!! I am starting to get back into painting more since my health has been improving!! I have so many little scenes I want to paint of these guys and my dreamscapes!! I'm excited. This starry one will be counted as part of July rewards (so you'll get the high res file next month)!

but I will be including this painted version of the previously posted Jaime pencil. I also may end up colouring some of the pencils I've already shared with everyone! I'll be sending out the rewards tomorrow, and it will be a thicc package. Thank you for your patience!!

Jaime manifests as a domain as much as she does as a person. There is a field of gold flowers in a dimension only accessible to her and maybe two others, and in it is a very tall tree that grows into the heavens. I've been wanting to paint this for a while but I've been too sick to explore it. I want to get better at doing landscape paintings ;-;

misha preview

I was hired by my good friends to design a mascot for their new business idea. It's going to be a central hub where clients can look for commission artists, kind of like the Japanese community has going already. I'll be posting these in full when they launch, but in the meantime here are some crops of the art I've done. I love designing cute characters!

plain sight

I have two sketchbooks going at once and one is primarily for venting how I feel at the time, or recording my thoughts about something. I used to feel there was something wrong with my perceptions of people but it just turned out some people do not like being seen for who they really are.

so after decades of letting unwholesome people put a veil over my eyes, I am starting to value my intuition and acuity and choosing not to look away.

Hello! I love blushing boys. I also redrew the smile page from last month (i'll be including it in the May package with the yellow illustration and other pencils). When I am in a certain mood, I can't force out a contrary mood, it seems LOL.

just for kicks

It's Tove from Cut Time! She is the og angwy dotter of mine and I thought it would be a good time to channel her energy again. I was thinking of drawing dancing but I realized martial arts can be its own choreograph so this was fun too. 

The bottom 3 poses were referenced from that infographic I pasted on but I reimagined them into a different angle to avoid plagiarism. It was a fun exercise that broke my brain, but I hope you like it!

Promise

I forgot to post this on this blog. I drew this the night I realized I could really truly love myself, after many years of not being able to. It meant a lot to me, and so I made a promise to myself, to always love myself.  I suffered a lot of loneliness because I didn't have myself by my side when people came and went. I hope I was able to capture how I felt how happy I felt that night. Jaime has been my medium for therapy and learning to see and accept what dwelt inside, so it felt natural to draw a very happy Jaime. It's been a rough 5 years, but I am glad I was able to get to this point.

PS: please don't use the ref photo for anything -- afaik my friend doesn't want it circulating around. I just wanted to show you guys what the reference looked like because I rarely ever use pose refs like this. Thank you!

I scanned these to include them in the package for April :3 (disdain will be included for May)

PSD tiers will also get a low-res version of the Basileus commission piece I made, just cos it's the only interesting coloured piece I did in the past month layer-wise haha.

I realized I have to stop going so hard on these commissions LMAO... but they were fun cos the designs are so good. I always think "I should make this character play on their violin since I have the experience to execute it decently" and regret it later cos I have to actually draw the violin,

I will be sending out the reward packages today or this weekend! Lots of pretty heads incoming...

I've been wanting to make an illustration of him with some Korean magpies (they're iridescent and beautiful) so I've had to study... how to draw them. I went through a considerable number of thumbnails for this one, some from a few months ago... which is kind of rare for a single illustration.
