WIP and a tentative announcement

This one was a mood I wanted to try to portray for a while... finally getting around to it for my friend's suit zine haha. I don't know if I will keep the bg, I honestly just wanted to paint a purple sky.

Also, I'm a bit bummed to say that my health has been on a steady decline lately. I'll keep everyone posted as to any new developments, but I may have to go on medical leave, depending on what it is and what can be done about it (I'm still waiting to find out). The symptoms have been debilitating, which is a big reason why I took so long this month to deliver the rewards. In the past the symptoms would subside after a few days but it's just been getting worse this time... 

Anyway yeah, that's up in the air. I'm sorry for any disappointments, and I will give everyone the proper heads up as to what will happen. If it comes down to it, I will send out refunds for any undelivered rewards so please rest assured.

Hello!! I keep forgetting that I can show *some* secret stuff here. The above is a set of bookmarks I'm doing for Devil's Candy! I can't share anything more than this but stay tuned!

Ko-Fi

Hello!

I've been looking into Ko-Fi, which is a creator-friendly patreon alternative. If I sign up for "gold" (a flat $6/month fee) there are no transaction fees or cuts they take -- which ensures most of the support goes directly to the creator (ie, myself). Patreon takes a rather big chunk from your pledges unfortunately but I understand if you enjoy the interface/services they offer through this platform. 

I thought I might gauge what the interest is here first, since I assume this is most of my interested audience. I honestly don't know what running a Ko-Fi page is like, but if anyone has experience supporting creators through Ko-Fi, I'd love to hear about it!

December rewards sent!

I finished this portrait finally, after half a year haha... I want to finish the girls this year too.

It was kind of hard to pick a flower for him... I settled on black calla lilies. I read they're not true lilies, but what they signify (passion, mystery, elegance) suited him. I gave Teo the blue iris which stands for faith and hope. I've always been interested in the symbolic usage of flowers.

Anyway, this was included in the December rewards, which were just sent out! If you didn't get it yet because of declined payment, I'll be sending out a second wave later in the month.

An update!

Hello!! Sorry for the radio silence once again LMAO... I've been so wrapped up with my Cut Time book 1 kickstarter... which ends in 9 hours from now! Wow!! That was a whole month of me thrusting my book around on the internet. Time sure flies...

Meanwhile I had another fun time on twitter with my pals, mainly rem LOL...  She cameo'd my boys into her comic Devil's Candy as tiny kemono students and I'm still not over it. Here is the thread of terrifying levels of cuteness that resulted from it.

In summary, between my little doodles from playtime and my kickstarter campaign plus the inktober pieces from October to divvy out, November's package will be pretty thicc when I get around to putting it together! Oh, and a random new CT page too! That'll be part of everything.

The 20k mark unlocks this sweet collaboration between myself and Rem, the creator and artist of Devil's Candy!!! It will be a 5.5x8.5" mini print!

Hello! I'm going to break up my Inktober scans because I made more than I expected to (be able to) lol. Here are the first four AWC ones:

I also got permission from Rem to share this with you guys. I painted her sketch and I liked how it turned out, so $5+ rewards get the high resolution version of this blessed little angel ;-;

There is also a new Cut Time page in the $5+ folders... Thank you kindly for your patience as I got my bearings together, it really means a lot.

KS update

oh my gosh okay I'm still alive!!
I spent the first half of the month being decimated by the flu and Inktober but I've been finally able to discuss our Kickstarter plans with Hiveworks! The above table is the outline of the tier rewards and stretch goals. They're pretty modest as far as Kickstarters go, I think... because I need to go back to focusing on comic updates haha. :3;;;

Important notes:

• There will be a very limited quantity of the early bird price of the book plus a signed book plate, for $20! I think we decided on 30 books. After that, the book will sell for $25. We're looking to launch in early November, and we're just finalizing the writeup and video. 
• The book will be softcover only, mostly because hard cover is a lot of fuss for too little
• All of the reward assets are already drawn, they just need to be produced, which is where the KS funds are going to. 
• the stretch goals will focus on the quality of the book, more than additional goods. For example, stitched spine means the pages will have a hard time coming off the book for longevity's sake

Also, low-key... Cut Time book 1 is actually already available in French, under Hachette LOL. I'm waiting until we can launch the KS to really announce it. xD

September rewards

September ended wonderfully for me. Teo went on vacation over on twitter, and here is a summary of said shenanigans. He also became doge but that's another story lol...

$5+ patrons are getting high res versions of all of my contributions from that post as well as the above shiba teos, and a random page from chapter 3 of CT. 

I preserved all the filter layers on the PSDs for the "instagram" pictures so I hope that's enlightening to look through! I will try to post a step-by-step of how I achieve that look later this month.

Hello! Sorry for the radio silence for those of you who don't use my discord server. I've been busy with completing orders and freelance work among other struggles and events so Cut Time has been put on the backburner for the last little bit haha... Cut Time news

A part of the reason why my Kickstarter has been so delayed is because Hiveworks (my webcomic publisher), who is going to be managing the event, has been swamped with their deadlines with Hachette, who are publishing several titles in France this year (including Cut Time!). I'm not trying to throw them under the bus or anything, they've been working super hard and I'm so grateful for them. I just had to let everyone know some of my schedule has been outside my control.

However!! I just got to see a finalized print-ready version of CT volume 1 today, with colour corrections and everything, so that's exciting! Meanwhile, I've been slowly picking away at some more rewards and assets for the event. The left pin is going to be part of the default rewards and the tiny one on the right will be available as an unlockable! I'm so excited LOL it's so itty bitty ;-;
