2023 In Review

We started off March of last year with two of my favorite models, Merrique and Floofie. Both sessions were shot remotely from their houses in Oregon to mine in Nevada. Floofie and I go way back together. She was the first model I hired, and Merrique is her best friend. I've worked with both of them for over 8 years now. The ones that Merrique and I did during the shoot illustrate the importance of light in your shoot. Merrique has some LED lights that we use that are multi-colored. We ...

The last set from February 2023 features the lovely Rachelle.  Assisted by her husband I was able to shoot this lovely woman in Britain from my home in Nevada.  Her husband works in video editing and production.  He was an able cameraman, but during the  shoot the camera kept firing off several shots at a time.  W couldn't figure it out.  After the shoot was over, Mark and Rachelle figured out that the camera had been set on burst mode for the entire shoot.  ...

Next up (still in February) is Amedea and Rusalochka Love.  Rusalochka is a good friend of mine and we shoot about once a year, maybe more this year (2024) since we already shot a couple of weeks ago and we set a tentative date to shoot at the Great Salt Lake later on this year.  Stay tuned for that.  She and I always set something up for February near Mesquite since her son plays in a soccer tournament around Presidents Day.  His team came in first this year.  I was ...

Continuing on with our 2023 In Review Series.  Don't worry we have a lot more to go.  February was a crowded month last year I shot with 8 models during the short month both in person and remote.  Ivory Flame and Merrique headline this post.  You'll see Merrique every month.  We have a monthly shoot scheduled.  Ivory is always such a joy to work with.  She leans toward fine art and always manages to pull it off.   Merrique and I just experiment eve...

Continuing on with this series.  Next up are Kristy and Mischkah.  Kristy is a very good friend and her and her partner were wintering at a ski resort in southern Utah.  She asked if I wanted to do a snow shoot and of course I agreed.  I loaded up Ann and off we went to find Kristy who BTW is a great skier.  We met up and I told Kristy, if she got cold to let me know and we would go warm up.  It was 32* F when we arrived and didn't get much warmer.  We were ...

Next up is a shoot with Jay which we did on February 1 last year.  I didn't share a lot of photos from this shoot because I was completely booked and had a lot of other things going on.  Jay and I go way back together in the early days of remote shooting.  She's a real life nurse and does modeling on the side when she has breaks in her work schedule.  She was a Covid ward nurse during the height of the pandemic and cared for a lot of the Covid patients in her hospital. &nb...

Rounding out January is a shoot my friend Bree and I did at Photo Bang Bang in Las Vegas.  Bree is an exceptionally beautiful woman and a lot of fun to be around with a dry sense of humor.  She goes out on the road for months at a time and we usually try to shoot  when she's in my neighborhood.  In fact you will see more of her later on in the year.  We connected in Utah in July 2023 for a short shoot in 100 degree weather.  It wasn't supposed to be short but we ...

2023 In Review - Sam

Sam and I have worked together for a few years, since the onset of Covid.  She and I shot remotely from my home in Nevada to her home in New Hampshire last year, almost to the day.  It was cold where she was and for that matter it wasn't all that warm here in Nevada.  Sam is a Playboy Centerfold and model and ex-motorsports model.  She has cut back on the amount of modeling she's been doing, but is still doing a bit.  Right before this shoot, she spent a couple of wee...

Next up is Merrique.  You'll see a lot more of her since we shot at least once a month.  This was a little crazy.  She was experimenting with her bath tub and lighting.  We were working in a tiny little space in her bathroom with blue coloring added to the tub water.  By the time we were finished, the water was a little cold.  What did you expect for January?  There's not a lot of different poses she could do in the bath tub in such a small space, but we pul...

Happy New Year to all my followers and supporters here.  Let's start this year off right with a feature of Sara Scarlett from 2023.  Sara and I shot this set last January.  As you can see she's very beautiful and great to work with.  This set starts off my 2023 In Review series which will feature all of the models I worked with in 2023.  There were quite a few so stay tuned.  2023 was a bit challenging for me personally, but quite successful from a photography st...

Jenn

Jenn and her friend Rae were in Las Vegas for a pole-dancing competition.  I didn't know such a thing existed.  They own a pole-dance gym near St. Louis.  They contacted me and asked if I wanted to shoot them both, and I agreed to meet them out at Redstone.  Rae was a little under the weather but came out for a few photos, but it was mostly Jenn and I.  I don't think Jenn does much modeling anymore, but was doing a lot of traveling a little while ago after Covid. &nbs...

Jill

Jill and I shot this series about a year and a half ago.  She was just returning to modeling after ending an abusive relationship and this was her second shoot after the hiatus.  She was really playful on this day and was doing a lot of open-leg posing which she normally doesn't do.  In fact I don't think she's done any except for this day.  She was extremely happy to get back to modeling and we spent the better part of a day just shooting at various locations around south...

Antonia

Antonia and I shot late last week, our first time working together.  She was very easy to work with and a great subject.  We had agreed beforehand to do a little open leg work and she was very comfortable with it.  We shot from lingerie to open leg and got over 250 photos during the 2 hour session.  I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for your continued support.

Kay

Kay and I have done a lot of remote shoots in the past couple of years.  She is an expert at lighting and photography and also is a great model.  I thought I would share a couple of the ones we created this week here.  We shot this set at the very end of our shoot.  Kay always saves her most revealing photos for the end of the shoot.  We shot quite a few without the addition of her hands, and then introduced the hands into the photo.  I think the photos turned ou...

Naya & Paige

Happy Thanksgiving week to all my followers out there.  This week has finally settled down a bit as far as shoots go.  Here's a couple of photos from my more recent exploits.  Naya and I have done quite a bit of shooting remotely, and Paige messaged me and said she was relocating to Nevada and wanted to know if I would be interested in working with her.  I thought I would start this week off with these lovely women.  I hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving and tha...

Just to compare, this was her a couple of years ago.  She had just started training.  IMHO she was looking pretty good but not competition worthy at this point.

Melissa and I hadn't worked together since 2021.  I saw some posts from her on IG so I messaged her and asked if she wanted to work together again.  I knew she was in training for a competition towards the end of this year and wanted to get some photos with her just prior to that show.  It turned out she had just competed in another show last month and placed really well (2nd in her division and 3rd Overall).  She told me that she was planning on skipping the show in Decem...

Bree

Our friend Bree contacted me and asked whether or not I would be interested in shooting with her at the end of July in Wyoming.  Unfortunately, we were scheduled to be in Salt Lake City at that time.  She said that she would be in SLC as well and that might work out better for the both of us.  The timing was perfect as she was traveling through SLC the day of this shoot and we set a time about mid-morning to meet up and go out to the location (Stansbury Island for those of you ...

Dynamic Duo

Last week I spent a couple of days across southern Nevada shooting with these two very beautiful women.  The three of us go way back together and it was fun catching up.  We hadn't seen each other in a couple of years (that darn Covid thing).  Anyway there are several hundred photos from this shoot that I'm trying to weed through to pick out a few for you to see.  Stay tuned.

Taylor

Taylor was in Las Vegas for a concert and contacted me to set up a shoot.  She's a photographer living in Arizona and has been modelling for a couple of years. I suggested we meet up at Redstone and she was really happy we did.  She told me that she shot a lot out by Sedona which is similar but a lot larger area than Redstone.  Her favorite genre is nude in nature shots which is my favorite as well.  Her partner came along for the ride and was like a kid in a candy store k...

Paige

I met Paige out at Redstone yesterday with her boyfriend and we spent a couple of hours shooting amongst the red rocks.  It turns out her boyfriend was deathly afraid of snakes and spent the entire shoot warning her about snakes.  It was amusing.  Paige was just coming off of a country-wide driving tour which started in Atlanta and was finishing this week in Salt Lake where she's living until the end of the month.  Then she's packing up and moving to Vegas.  It's too ...

Olga

Another image of this very lovely woman when the weather warmed up just a bit.  She was born in Russia but grew up in the US.  I was speaking with a friend of mine and she was saying when you think of a woman from Russia, you imagine this old frumpy woman sweeping a street somewhere.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

Olga

Olga and I shot for three days on the coast in Oregon and it was a little cold one morning so we spent that morning in the AirBnb shooting.  By the afternoon, it had warmed up and we spent the afternoon out by the river.  This is just one of the photos we managed to capture inside the AirBnB.  It was located right on a golf course and Olga was a wonderful model to work with.  She hadn't modeled much in a very long time so she was just getting back into the swing of things....

JessaRay and I shot this series on Monday out at a location along Interstate 15 east of Mesquite.  As usual she killed it.  She is a lot of fun to work with and, as she says a gossip, so you get to catch up on all the gossip in the art model community.  A lot of the gossip originates in the model safety groups which don't allow photogs so it gets a little juicy.  Really I try to stay away from the gossip so its entertaining to work with JessaRay every once in a while to ca...

Britt and I go way back.  She comes to Vegas often and we try to set up at least one shoot a year when she's here.  She's an extreme hockey fan and goes to as many games as she can when she visits.  We shot this set out at Redstone.  We both like it out there and as you can see the area likes Britt as well.  In her real life she's a firefighter and actress with an ongoing role in Chicago Fire.  She is an absolute blast to shoot with and works out a lot for her jo...
