IoDM (Island of Dr Moreau) is officially RELEASED

It's heeeeeeere! Our book, nearly 20 years in the making in some form or another - is real and in our hands!

The backer copies for those of you who helped kickstart it are on their way out now, and digital versions are available for download if you want a copy and haven't gotten one yet! Digital copies are $20 and include the whole book and a slew of other add ons like musical accompaniment, a directory of all the original Gaia IoDM art, shipping tables, a big map, and more! If you did the kickstarter, the free download code should be going out to you soon if it hasn't already.

Physical copies will be available to order through our publisher, IPR (Indie Press revolution) soon! (I'll keep ya'll in the loop) - and those will be made available to gaming stores in the real world SOON! SO EXCITED YA'LL!

Personal Projects

Sooo I realized I'd not posted a few personal projects I've done on the side - so I'm sharing them now! A reticulated python I'd designed as a coloring book page that never happened, a D&D character portrait in a nod to a classic Frank Frazetta piece ( my friend's Dragonborn Paladin on his black lion mount)

And second sequence scanned - and last one for today is Court Cow! With a really fun script by the client - a noble spy is caught by what she thinks is a lowly kitchen servant...

Sneak Peek: Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes fill ins

So I've had a busy few weeks hard at work on new art! So much so that I'm splitting my scanning days over two days. I did all the mechanical scanning and cleanup of the images today, and I'll be writing dialog tomorrow on the sequences that weren't either no dialog (like this one ) or pre-written by the clients (in the case of Court Cow which I'll be working on next).

All in all -65- new pages over today and tomorrow!

So first up: As mentioned, Ch-Ch-Changes extra pages! This was a sequence of 8 mid-TFs into different animals - but the client has added a page before each one, and a page after showing the final forms :)

Mentorship portfolio piece: COMPLETE

I am very pleased to finally share the COMPLETE painting I did for the mentorship I've been taking for the last two months. This has been an incredible learning experience with a big name in the TTRPG/CCG industry, Paul Canavan - and I am SO glad I took his class.

I'm posting the final piece + a snapshot of a lot of the prep work I did (studies, mock ups, photo references, and learning how to use Blender & Daz for staging references). There were so many dozens of hours of work into this , but I want to make myself do at least another few pieces with the full process to cement in the skills.

For the piece, I chose to illustrate two characters from our currently longest-running RPG, Stedd (the person) & Piper (the peryton).
