Dev Diary, and Paige 'appearance' poll.

I'm still working my way through the first part of episode 5. It's a long intro, due to the events that finished off episode 4, and different pathing adds to it.

Part of that process is giving Paige a new haircut, since her last one was there to give her a different appearance in order to not be so easily recognized. And as I was trying new hairdos, I couldn't quite make up my mind which was the best one.

So, what better way to solve it than giving you the choice? Here she is with...

I started the week by doing a few short animations, and while they were rendering, the queen of the house whispered to me 'do you remember saying that when the Steam release was done, you were going to take some time off?'

And she's absolutely right. It's been pretty much non-stop, long workdays from May until now, so I decided to take the week off. It doesn't mean I didn't do anything. I still backed up my assets, updated Daz, bought a lot of new assets, cleaned up my PCs, and reorgani...

Remember last week, I thought the GOG version was ready and good to go? Well, long story short, I've got to stop jinxing myself like that.

In total, I spent almost two days trying to fix the achievements, where the newest GOG libraries didn't work well with Renpy's libraries. In addition to that, what worked for other testers, didn't work for me.

In the end, at 2 AM the day before the release, I basically said fuck it, and sent the final build. And to my surprise, the GOG QA found...

Quick drop-in for this week's update.

First of all, I'm absolutely blown away by the release of U4iA on Steam. It sold more than double compared to Leap of Faith's opening weekend, and that's saying something.

I'm extremely humbled by the support and encouragement I've gotten over the years from you guys, from the very first Patreon release of Leap of Faith, until now. You made me want to continue when lots of people said I shouldn't.

Thank you!

Looking forward, I've a...

Dev Update, and new U4iA Steam release date

I've been working my ass off for the past few weeks, and making better progress than I thought I would have.

Because of that, I've decided to push the Steam/VNmode/DLC release date closer.

U4iA with VN mode/In-game Walkthrough DLC will be available on Steam, September 26th.

Yes, that's next Friday. The Patreon version will also be updated, but expect that to be a few days later so that I can include any bugfixes reported on Steam.

Dev Diary, Walkthrough, and some changes.

I hope you had fun playing the season finale. If you haven't yet, don't worry, I'm not going to put any spoilers here, but there are some important things to cover.

The release has been updated to v4.03p, crushing some minor bugs in the process, but if you played the release already, you're good. The most prominent bug-fix was fixing Sea's code ending in A-B, when it should have ended with B-A (I'll go hide in the corner now). Your saves are good either way.

I've been doing playthroughs, corrections, bug-fixing, and preparations all week, and the list of things to do is getting quite small.

I'll send the script for proofreading today, and the game itself next Friday at the latest.

I timed one relaxed playthrough to 2 hours and 20 minutes, trying to balance long and short scenes that differ from playthrough to playthrough.

  • 4,000 renders

I've been continuing work on the solo scenes with the girls. These scenes are not lewd, but they focus on relationship building, allowing me to show a different side of the girls than they would usually show.

These are also straightforward scenes, as they are a result of your choices, so I don't have to make several conversation variations and imagery based on how good a friend she is, which m...

GOG messaged me on Monday, and they were blown away by the sheer number of people who had participated.

Leap of Faith and other adult games free on GOG for 48 hours.

Dear Adult Games connoisseurs.

Due to the recent events of the adult games being removed from several storefronts by request of external forces, me, and several other developers and I have teamed up with GOG.com for a protest against it.

Some games vanish. Not because they broke the law but because someone decided they shouldn’t exist. For 48 hours, these games are free, because if a game is legal, you should be fre...

This week I've been crossing off items on my bullet list of things to do, and things are going forward at a steady pace.

I'm currently working on the "phase 2" of script-work.

In phase 1, I write the script and dialogue, and rarely even run the game. This phase is complete.

In phase 2, I run the game and look through the scenes roughly, adding music, sfx, catching up on continuity errors, time, and adjusting animations, fine-tuning sprite movements, adding phone content and ...

Dev Diary, July 25th, 2025 - and some general information.

I spent all week in Ren'Py, even though the render-queue is empty and my render-rig is currently idling.

I was hoping to catch up with the visuals by today, but the free roam of the episode was much bigger than I thought it would be, so I'm still working on it. It's a full game within the game by now.

But, to something else. Last week, I got a question in the comments about the uncertainty of adult games, and the recent ruckus that has been going on.

What's the future of ad...

We've been having some really hot weather, but rendering has been going great even though temperatures in my office have been a steady 36C for most of the week.

Thankfully, I'm not using the 3090 GPUs anymore, as they were running almost twice as hot as the 4090s and would have caused problems in this weather.

Additionally, there have been a few instances of having to shut down everything due to the typical summer evening thunderstorms. Luckily, nothing was damaged, even though th...

Another week that went smoothly.

I've rendered animations all week. While those were in the making, I had some time to catch up on the Ren'Py part and set up the GOG page. We've agreed on the store release date, and it should be ready by next Friday.

Unfortunately, waking up today, I saw that the animations render queue was completely done, so I'll jump right into posing new ones.

The numbers for the week were 2,442 animated frames completed.

Other than that, there's n...

Worked mainly on animations this week and supplemented with story renders for it. I finished up one lewd scene and am about to start on the 'main one' of the episode. For this one, I just wanted to make you feel like the luckiest guy alive. So if Samantha or Celeste is your girl, this should tickle your fancy.

I've set up the scene and done a test render. I've attached it to this post, as you probably should open it in private. :)

I've mostly been working on the free-roam this week. 192 story-renders 1,380 animation frames were done. This is the only free-roam of the episode, and it's gotten quite lengthy now, due to the amount of content in there. In fact, it's almost a game in its own now, with several paths and endings.

I wanted to tie the endings to a single event, to ease the workflow somewhat, and came up with this.

This week, I'll take a quick look at the numbers behind the game.

Making and releasing Leap of Faith took 2 years and 8 months from first to last render. Since U4iA has been in development for 2 years and 8 months now as well, it is only fair to look at the numbers and compare.

Comparing actual story renders, it's almost exactly the same. U4iA now has 14 renders less than the completed LoF game. That's 0.14% less (or about half a day of work). When it comes to animations, the diff...

As mentioned last week, I've been working on the free-roam this week. As it's the only free-roam of the episode, I've decided not to think too much about time pressure and deadlines, and just fill it with as much content as possible. Honestly, it's been a real blast so far.

I started with the tougher scenes, which involve a lot of people, so that part is now done.

213 renders were completed. Meaning we broke the 2,5k mark and are now at 2,660 so far. Animations totals 21,532 frame...

I knew the scene I mentioned last week was a tough one to make, and I was right. Many people, lots of movement, constantly changing camera angles. And of course, because of what's going on in the scene. I have to admit I wanted to punch the monitor at one point, but now it's done. 178 story renders and a few small animations were the result.

That's one of the big scenes done, and one to go - which is the only free-roam of the episode. I've been building the actual scenery for it over t...

Dropping in real quick with some stats for this week's output. 77 story renders and 2,060 frames of animation completed. This is also the first time I've spent more than a full day setting up a single animation. I'm trying some new tricks to make you feel more a part of the action than watching a PH video, and I'm very happy with how it's turning out.

I've mentioned before that I like to render the scenes in a chronological manner, from the first to the last scene, the same way you would play it. This time, I have to do it a bit differently. I learned that getting the Steam approval takes more than two months now (compared to the two weeks with LoF), so the goal is to put together a playable ve...
