tinfoil hat

This series of photos turned out way better than we thought tbh. Cat literally just wrapped me in tinfoil lol and Nicholas decided to shake the camera as he took photos to create a blurring effect that you see in later photographs. Honestly this was one of our better case scenarios - as Cat & I have done sooooo many photoshoots where you try an idea and the end result is HOT GARBAGE. Nicholas is most known for his ability to create really interesting shapes with light - previously we did some where he creates a profile of shadow across my face (for which he won an award!). His series where he creates "dresses" of shadow are also some of his most notorious works. For this look Cat wanted to do really subtle, natural make up so that his use of lighting throughout could be emphasized.

raising money for Sunny Day Training!

This month’s proceeds will go towards sunny day training, a non profit dog rescue! A Great Dane mom and her pup were found in bad shape by my friend ironically named Cat (lol) and our friend Jennifer helped us get them to a great rescue! Though they require medical care due to a few injuries :(

Crushes lower women's creativity, but not men's

A really fascinating look at how having a crush on someone affects your creativity based on gender! I do hope more and more studies come out that start taking into account LGBTQIA+ folks, because I'd be curious how this relates at all to those with asexuality (who still can have romantic feelings depending on the individual) and those who identify as non-binary.

A really fascinating study about how the rate of teen suicides increased/decreased during COVID 19 closures and re-openings. Now that we're five years away from lockdown (INSANE), I'm so interested to see what kind of study findings like these we get!

I spent so much of this shoot ill beyond belief (kudos to the unmasked man coughing into the open air in the seat in front of me on the plane). After many 16 hour days, a bug that flew into my eye, having to walk into an e. Coli lake with a grass snake & many many laughs - love and chaos is wrapped!!

I had so much fun on this shoot, in no small part because of Sophie’s insane wardrobe, pictured copiously above. Can’t wait to share this film with everyone!!! Xx
