Blackbound Covern Library

Hey all,

So a little bit of a secret release here! I teamed up with the folks over at Questiary to give you this great map and monster bundle! This is the Blackbound coven's library, where centuries of secret arcane knowledge has accumulated. And thanks to the Boss Monster PDF included in this release from the fantastic folks at Questiary you'll know how to run an encounter with Alvira Garnette, the covern Bloodmother, and 6 other new fantastic baddies!

Basalt Peninsula

Hey all,

I can already imagine players characters slipping and cracking their shins on these basalt rock formations as they try to race across them during their fights. I'm thinking some kind of sea monster with tentacles would be appropriate, but when aren't they?!

And I'm not gunna lie, this map was a bit of a challenge, but I think it's come together nicely in the end and hopefully gives you plenty of inspiration for some fun encounters your players can have here.

Countryside with buildings -  an inn, a winery, a hermitage

More Mines - If you want me to expand on the recent series of Mine Maps I've got plenty of  ideas for more!

End of the Line

"You really should be careful digging down too deep. Who knows what you might uncover."

Hey all,

Last map of the month for you all to enjoy and to bring a possible end to the recent series of mine maps (unless you all demand more of-course!). With this map I wanted to have a large boss fight area with plenty of space for your players to move around with lots of hazards to challenge them.

This should fit the bill nicely.  You've got a nice a...

Digging Deeper

"The creaking of carts and swinging of pickaxes can be heard echoing all around the walls of the caverns, making it hard to pinpoint their origin and with the dark winding mass of tunnels the whole mine is disorientating.

But you finally come to a folk in the rail tracks you've been following, bathed with an orange glow of a torch placed in the wall opposite, which direction will you take? Right, or Left?"

Hey all,

Carrying on with the warren of min...

Into the Mines

Hey all,

On we press with the decent in to the mines! This sprawling cavern has plenty to test your players; dead ends, blind corners, hidden treasure and a fissure that could fall down to who knows where.

I hope it proves to be a worthy challenge for your players and if you've got any ideas for the next mine map - hop on over to the Discord to let me know what you'd like to see.

Mining Entrance

Hey all,

Release number 02 of the day! Sorry all the maps have come at the same time but this month was a bit of a rush! - they will be better spread out next month.

Anyway, you guys have been asking for it a fair bit in the discord and here it is, a Mining Entrance! - Not the most exciting of locations but a great place to start all kinds of adventures with your players hopefully with the variants you should be able to get some good use out of this map pack!   View Post

Dragon Meeting Place

Hey all,

keeping with the dragon theme I've got this huge dragon meeting place for you to terrify your players with with each plinth being the raised resting place for a gargantuan dragon. Locals come to leave offerings for the dragons in front of the imposing statue and hold ceremonies in the hope that the dragons will listen to their pleads for help.

Imagine your players sneaking through the overgrown forest to find a conclave of dragons meeting here and discussing their ...

Dragon Skull Monument

Hey All,

First in the new series of maps based around the idea of an ancient dragon / draconic city. This huge monument was carved out of rock by dragon breath weapons to mark the edge of their territory and serve as a warning to any who might dare to venture this way of what they might encounter.

I hope you and your players enjoy it in your own game! :)

Small Island (Pt2)

Hey all,

To match with my last map release I have this cosy little island retreat. A cosy little retirement cottage perfect for a couple to grow old in, or perhaps where the old hag boils up cauldrons of who knows what ...

Well what a cracking start to the year, I'll be putting out the map vote for next month in the next couple of days and going through and updating a couple of things here and there and FINALLY getting out that Dragon's Den PDF I've promised! It's been a hec...

Ferry Crossing (Pt 1)

Hey all,

I've decided to round out this month with two maps that can go together as a ferry crossing. This first map is the mainland where the players can take a small boat from and the next map I release will be a small island with house / hut that they can land on.

Or this could be perfect to go with my Manor House Island series, or really any of my water side maps! I had great fun doing the Bio-Bloom version of this map, who knows what might be causing that strange ...

Desert Campsite

Hey all,

Dovetailing nicely with last months Forest Campsite this month we have a desert campsite. Well, more of a small travelling town. The tents, surrounding walls and towers can all be dismantled and moved wherever a new meeting of clan leaders might be.

This nomadic lifestyle allows those that live out in this inhospitable landscape the ability to move to freshwater sources, or away from ...

Hey all!

I can finally announce the top secret project I've been working on, Borough Bound! - The fine folks behind this exciting patreon approached me a few months ago and asked if I'd like to start making interiors for their city maps.

So all future fantastic city maps they release will come with interiors to all the buildings! So your players can really explore ...

Happy New Year!

Whooooh! What a day. This month has been a real push but I'm sure you'll agree there's been some great maps for you to enjoy. I know I went off theme with this last map, I just had a real hankering to do a classic forest campsite. I will start next year with one more desert / Ottoman themed map to round off that series though!

And I'd just like to say a quick thank you to everyone who's here supporting me! I've been doing this map making thing as my full-time job ...

Caravanserai

Hey all,

Continuing on our desert / ottoman theme I decided to go with a Caravanserai. This little oasis is great place for those traversing the inhospitable desert to find some much needed rest and shelter from the heat.

Within its thick walls are chambers packed full of goods being traded by merchants who risk their lives crossing the vasts dangerous desert to make their profit.

Hope you all like it! :)

Ottoman Style Streets

Hey all,

You voted for it and here you go, ottoman style'd streets! I can already see a roof top chase after a cut purse bumps in to your party in the jostling streets and takes off through the crowds.

Or perhaps a visiting dignitary is moving through the area, a small parade or precession in toe, when they are set upon by assassins and your party has to jump in to save them! There's a lot of options in these vibrant city streets.

As a side note I've been w...

Dragon Hoard

Hey all,

Here we have the last chamber for the Dragon Den series, this MASSIVE Dragon Hoard which the players can Scrooge Mcduck in if they win. I'll let you work out how much gold is in this hoard, if I had to guess I'd say ... a lot. And I know some of you are thinking "That much gold will break my campaign.", don't worry I've got ideas as to why it won't be worth as much as the players had hoped that I'll include in the Dragon Den PDF. Speaking of which ...

Dragon Den Level 02

Hey all,

Level 02 of the dragon cultist lair is here. We've got a jail, secret torture room, study, library room, dining hall, kitchen, bunk room, rickety wooden bridge & trap room!

The idea is that the dragon comes down in to the central chamber from the previous map and can disappear up the large tunnel towards his dragon hoard, collapsing the tunnel behind them if it's being pursued.

When all three maps are done I'll put together a .pdf as a DM's guide as ...

Dragons Den Entrance

Hey all,

Here we have part 01 of 03 - into The Dragons Den. This is going to be a massive sprawling dungeon when it's all finished and I wanted to start it off with this great entrance which has multiple points of entry for your players to try and sneak in.

The main tunnels will fit an Ancient Dragon right down in to the belly of this dungeon with a network of smaller tunnels housing the Dragon Cultists. When all three maps are done I'll put together a .pdf as a DM's guide...

Overgrown Temple

Hey all,

Map 3 of 3 in this series is here, get it whilst it’s hot!

This once holy place of worship now lays in ruins. The roof completely collapsed, its timbers stolen or burnt away decades ago. The surrounding forest has started to reclaim it, clogging old chambers with thick twisted routes and gnarled branches.

I'm particularly pleased with the Sacrifice and Bandit Camp alternatives, they should lead to some great encounters with your troublesome players.

Forest Dungeon

Hey all,

More winding forest paths for your players to get lost down. I know some of you, and especially your players, will be thinking “Surely you see through 10ft of thick forest and just carefully walk through it.”

For these open air dungeons to work I’d suggest describing the forest as unnaturally dense and twisted, blocking all line of sight and reducing sounds. It could even be a magically enchanted forest that seems to reach out, attacking and grappling anyone who tri...

Leap of Faith

Hey all!

This map is perfect for when you want your players to take a running leap in to the void. :)

I've been thinking of it as an old druidic ritual circle that they used as a proving ground to test the new initiates. Seeing if they have mastered the ability to shift their form into something that can fly effortlessly over the landscape they're sworn to protect.

Anyway, I had good fun making this map. It was great to stretch the old creative legs without h...
