Lets finish the Maison Close Advent Calender BTS project here :)
I will upload the rest of the sets the next days so we have that job completed and move on to another campaign.
In this video (unfortunately I dont have longer bts for every outfit we did) you can see me using 3 lights, 2 on the background to create uneven lighting with some shadow in the middle, and 1 on the model from a bit sideways to have one side of the model contrasty and put more focus on what was important on that...

As you see in the beginning of the video the light is simply full power through the linen curtains to create a soft light on the other side aaand to use the curtains as backlight background for the set :)

Anastasia NEW stuff set1

Finally got one of new sets with Anastasia finished :) Gonna be uploading video bts with light setup explained in the upcoming weeks (first finish some other Yuna and Tara clips) and probably also a video about coloring here. I also have some new presets that I already have been using on new sets, too.

Simple posing bts video of Yuna. It was a warmup first set in my new studio. I used very simple soft light reflected over the ceiling, nothing special here :)

As you could also see on the last video bts post, its a 4 light setup for this shoot:
1 - 1200D from slighty sideways frontal for soft light on model
2 - striplight on model with 600x aputure
3 - aputure 300 nova panel with red light from behind, at an angle so it hits the model and the background
4 - 300c aputure with red light onto the background

Hey friends!
A quick recap of what you also saw on the video from last post:
For the second set we changed the light a little bit by using 3 fresnels with barndoors to create stripes of light on the background.
I didnt have any clear image planned, it was simply improvised how the lights were directed at the cyclorama. For the light reflections we used the XL mirror foil as already mentioned :)

"The explanations for light setup nr.1 are very interesting. We can see that the preparation of the material is quite complex around the stage. I'm only wondering how you compose (or imagine) your lighting at first. There's a big mix of lights and reflections. So, how do you decide or know that you will need a bit more of this, or a bit less of that. We started with little piece of foil on a boom arm and some fixed foil on the columns, but angles and intensity were not good enough, so we ended up with a big reflective 2x2m surface which was flexible for video too, see attached file :)

As you can see on those bts pics there is a lot going on around the cyclorama, many lights prepared to be used. On a shoot like that I prefer to place and prepare all lights upfront, to have them quickly accessible if i want to change something in the picture and of course also inbetween sets to save time.
For the first set we had:

1- 1200D Aputure with 160cm octabox with grid to have a soft light on the model, but keep it on the model without spilling on the background. This light...

Finally I have retouched some photos of my shoot with Laura. She is really easy to work with and great in front of the camera and we already have had a second shoot after this one and will have probably more in the future.
