A Christmas Miracle (2015)

By 2015 (and twelve strips total into these little fan made strips), people were clamoring for Batgirl to have a win. In fact, part of the continuing humor with these comics is how Babs simply can't compete with Kara's boundless positivity. And while I have tried to balance that--occasionally--in the past few years, it's still a running gag with these two (the past year's SuperBatober further evidence of that).

But I tended to agree, and the thought of Kara unleashing unpredict...

Continuing down Gotham's Jingle Bell Lane...

2013's Batgirl Supergirl Christmas comic was the first one I sort of broke out of the more newspaper strip style mold. This was probably mostly due to me being well into working on the Cleopatra in Space novels at this point and thinking more along those particular layout terms (I had just finished Cleo 1 over the summer).

Looking at this again, it's also clear I must have rushed this one a bit, the art is...well, not my best work. Haha...

Rocketeer Bettie

Quick Batgirl/Supergirl Christmas break to share a recently finished watercolor of Bettie Page all decked out in her BF's Rocketeer gear (for one of your fellow patrons). Wanted it to have a bit of a pinup feel since Bettie was the queen of such things.

Phone Wallpapers - SuperBatober Edition!

As promised, here's a new batch of wallpapers for your phones. I thought it'd be fun to make a whole batch of SuperBatober ones this time around! There were quite a lot of requests for them back in October and looking at all of them from both this year and last, many of them actually make for some fun lock screens (I personally love the bomb over the clock and Babs telling Kara not to touch anything on an actual touch screen).

Flamebird

Since I posted a snow bunny yesterday, here's a Flamebird for today! Although  painting Bette Kane here sure didn't help the Florida weather any. Probably the chilliest day we've had since summer ended. Which is nice actually.

SuperBatober 29 - UH OH

Yes, this is ridiculous. But after quickly sketching out that panic-ridden Batgirl, I felt like I had no other choice but to follow through with it. If you want, you can imagine this scenario taking place after Babs has already been thwarted from disposing of the bomb by some dinner guests, a couple of nuns, an infant, a marching band, a case of butane tanks, a romantic moment in a kaiak, and some baby ducks. I dunno what Kara is watching but it must be good!
