You can see in my initial rough I originally had Batgirl hanging out on that far gargoyle, but my wife (the only other eye for these) thought it kind of dumbed down the idea. Not one to argue (because she's usually right), I took Bats out of the final. Just a bit of Behind the SuperBatober commentary just in case anyone thought I *ahem* forgot to draw her in there. ;)

A week into these things with only one costume change from Kara!* Thought I'd fix that.
Originally was going to put her in the same outfit as Babs, but it made more sense that Kara would put her own spin on things. I'm actually pleased as punch with how that super bat-emblem came out.

Forgot to snap a pic of just the inks before starting paints, but it offered a chance to show a slightly different approach to doing these. I used to block in all my blacks before painting and, only now--over a hundred watercolors in--am I realizing how inefficient that was. From now on, I'm going to do the blocking last. That way I don't have to marker over a lot of my blacks twice due to the watercolors sometimes lightening them up a bit. W...
