Decided to make a desktop wallpaper of that Jean I posted here on Friday. Since I had the extra space, I extended the phoenix flames which I think actually makes for a better illustration! Feels more like wings now. Maybe I should think more widescreen in my compositions a little more often.

UPDATE: Was looking at this sketch this morning and realized I could have done a better job at drawing that sword melting. So made some quick adjustments.

Update: Oops! Meant to publish this post out for free subs as well. That way everyone knows what to expect this coming year. I know some might have expected to me to draw The Fiddler or maybe even Music Meister for this prompt, but I think we've seen enough villains show up for one month. Let's give our two girls a break!
So here they are at a Zatanna show instead; who, to me at least, is far more enjoyable to see. Plus, I'll never get tired of writing various phases backwards to see what fun incantations they become. This one beat out the much sillier sounding "GNIRTS OLOS".
